The first one I saw was one that one of my customers at work had built. He showed it to me when I was outside smoking. I saw my aunt and uncle's e-cigs next (both Apoloes), and then I got my Apoloe from my brother and sister-in-law for Christmas.

The first one I saw up close was the v2 I ordered online. I had seen the website and thought I'd give it a try just for grins. I bought the ultimate kit and when it got here I just had to try the passthrough. I remember thinking OMG this thing really works. That was about a year before I even knew of ecf.
First I saw an e-cig in real life was when I opened the kit I ordered when I decided to try e-cigarettes based on seeing an advertisement online. I didn't buy the model that was advertised but did try to research some. Anyway...it was a Safe Cig. Seems like ancient history to me now! (and they did work! I liked TSC a lot until I found out there were better, less expensive alternatives out there)
I went in to pay for gas and saw a disposable ecig display out of the corner of my eye. It stopped me for a second because it was out with the candy so when I got home I started reading online and found out that they could be sold like that and started reading to decide what ecig I wanted to buy!
Dec 21, 2012 ... 2 days later I got into with PVs, not e-cigs.

First one I had spotted in the wild was at a buddies house party probably 5 years ago. Another friend had picked up a cheapo cigalike from a farmers market for $5 or something. It immediately appealed to me and I ended up puffing on the bugger most of the night.
But after searching online for some I wasn't so sure how badly I wanted one. The prices seemed too high and I had next to no knowledge about the e-cig world.

First time I saw one was online. I make it a personal habit to research any purchase I make over 50 bucks
XHale02 1st generation. I worked with it for a month or so until I got sick of how big a pain it was. The atomizers on the thing didn't work all that well. I got sick of buying a whole new starter kit just to get the atomizer and went back to the regular ones.
