First try at tobacco flavors

I've been doing my first DIY juices... so far mixed berries, lemon, apple pie, and chai tea. I mixed these with some pre-made juice (Vapetasia Killer Kustard) It was interesting, but now I'm done with sweet juices for awhile. Decided to just vape some cheap tobacco juice I had and realized how much I miss simple juice like that. Now I'm ready to dive into DIY tobacco. Here's my list... any comments or suggestions about these (or others you recommend)? I'm not trying to replicate real cigarette, but it helps if the juice resembles tobacco flavor, and I don't mind if it has other flavors but don't want too sweet! Here's my list:

BullCityFlavors carries Hangsen.

FA Black Fire is a Liquid Smoke flavor.

SC/FE flavors are my favorite tobaccos and tobacco flavor is largely what I like to vape. FWIW here are a few of my reviews and my notes to myself of some of my favorites and FE Turkish. YMMV

FE (Real Cig) Tobacco Additive - 5%
(Not like the SC_Real Cig from BCF)
Very nice muskiness
This tobacco has a slight nut flavor combined with a mild musk and maybe just a very slight hint of cantalope. I like to mix 1 or 2 parts to 1 part MLB at 5% total flavor. I would give it it more than 5 stars if I could.

FE MLB- 5%
Definite tobacco
Tobacco with very slight notes of prune and pistachio nut. I like it mixed with either half RY4 or two-thirds Tobacco Additive. I like it so much that I bought a bigger bottle the 2nd time around.

FE RY4 - 5%
Lightly sweet and toasty
Heated sugar taste, sweet with a whisper of puffed wheat or graham cracker. I like this mixed in equal parts with MLB at 5% total flavor.

FE Virginia - 5%
Nutty RY4
This tastes like the the RY4 to me, heated sugar, sweet, with a whisper of puffed wheat or graham cracker, but with the added nutty touch of a little acetyl pyrazine.

FE RY4 Double - 5% mocha flavored instant coffee, more coffee than chocolate

FE Golden Leaf - 5%
Sunshine Golden Raisin Biscuit
This reminds me of Sunshine Golden Raisin Biscuits, which was a cookie-sandwich made with a thin layer of raisin paste between two thin layers of pastry. It has a slightly almost buttery note to me. I had my sister who's still a smoker try it and she said it tastes like raisin and tobacco.

FE Turkish - 5% mild cotton candy, cocoa, wisp of wine, stinky melange of clashing perfumes, nuttiness or creaminess - maybe walnut, slight Meritine

If you're trying to get away from sweet, you may not like FA Desert Ship. I can't even vape that, it's super sweet.
And yes, Hangsen is the best I found in general.
Hangsen Tab was my main go-to before I started NET. I still use it 50/50 with my NET for my pod mix to extend life.
Their Highway and #5 are supposed to be similar, but are too sweet for me.
Hangsen Gold & Silver is one of the best non-nets I've tried. Reminds me of hitting my Dad's Luckies.
INW Flue is really good, and authentic. But sort of one-dimensional, so I usually mixed with other flavors.

But I can't recommend Stixx Mixx American Virginian enough. That's really all I use, except for that Tab in the pod mix. Extremely low cost too, for a NET. The stuff is absolutely great, and I only mix it at 6%. Now, all the other tobaccos are just kind of flat tasting to me. Hard to describe, but the AmVirg just really sort of tingles the tastebuds like really smoking, without all the nasties. Kind of like adding salt to a bland piece of meat or something.

AP is acetyl pyrazine which people describe depending on strength as bread/nutty/Frito's/gym-socks. It was Hangsen RY1. They also have SC Ruyan that I like. Here's my notes on the two SC flavors I've had from BFC that I like and lately have been vaping daily.

BCF-SC Ruyan - 5% like FE RY4 w/o heated sugar or cereal, vinyl, almost a slight grape note.
revisit 6/16/19 - scorching brown paper, sweetish,

BCF-SC Parlay - 5% very slight cashew, tobacco

FA RY4 double wasn't anything like tobacco to me. Just a sweet, molasses like syrup taste. HS RY4 is much more complex. Haven't tried their ry3&1 yet, but I have them steeping now. I remember hearing something about a dirty neutral base that supposedly did wonders for making any tobacco flavor more tobacco like. Don't remember the brand though.

Inawera DNB gives tobaccos that ashey taste. iMO.

CF Parliament-2% ,one of the best tobacco flavors for me
Euroflavors American Blend Gold at 3,5-4%, on pair with Parliament(also very coil friendly)
CF Real Cigar-2% solid standalone tobacco,not sweet at all
Hangsen No.5 at 3% solid "chinese flavor" tobacco if you like hangda liquids from fasttech
Hangsen Desert Ship at 3-4% if you want cigalike ashtray tobacco
CF Blended Tobacco at 2,5%-solid chocolate tobacco,not sweet
Tfa Ry Double at 5%-smokey caramel tobacco(goes good with everything in mix)
So my recommendations are
CF Parliament/Congress/Parlor
EF American Blend Gold
CF Blended Tobacco and
TFA Ry4 double
Steeping 4+ weeks for everything

I forgot to say,almost every CF(concentrated flavors,Vaping Zone,Juice Factory,Ecigexpress,Arom Team,Vaporever they are all the same) are good tobaccos.You can't go wrong with them,just keep percentage about 2-2,5% and wait for 4-5 weeks.The problem is you cannot find any info about DAAP or other ingredients on the net.

MartinD, thank you so much! Also, didn't know you had to steep that long... might explain mixed reviews (one person hates something, another loves it)
I did forget to ask everyone... which ones are coil cloggers? I will still try them, but only in my RDA (my other tanks use drop in coils) Many flavors I love (brown sugar, caramel, coffee, chocolate) I have avoided before I recently got a RDA (and RDTA)

I personally didn't find am4a to be a tobacco flavor at all, more like one of those cement blocks they call fruit cake.

I don't steep, just mix and vape. I don't consider any of the flavors I mentioned coil cloggers.

Sure, I have no doubt there are many that lack the refined palate necessary to appreciate the complexities of that particular concentrate.



Seriously though, it's meant to be an Amphora type pipe tobacco but yeah, like just about anything, some will like it and others won't.

Flavors Express is ecig express or what ever site it's from house brand. Nicotine river has their own house brand too, it's just newer.

I've been looking at ecig express too. For some reason they don't have hangsons and their nicotine is more expensive. Next order will try them. For now trying:
Hangsons RY4
Euro Flavor American blend
Nicotine River Vanilla (just because it's cheap)
