Just wondering... what was the total resistance of the double coils? Also, found the quad flex, cat didn't get it. I still can't work single wire 28ga. I did get a double coil MTL build in it though.
So the cat's off the hook

With 70/30 juice,@ 35W, it's wispy clouds, they dissipate quickly in the breeze from a window AC. 50w makes decent clouds, but not what I'm used to.Nice coils. 0.17 ohms... you making clouds or just strong DTL?
The flavor % in the custard is probably off the chart, and enough sweetener that any additional sweetener, even that present in apple flavor, to make it sweet enough to taste like apple, and not an apple flower, would mute the added flavor in comparison. I personally can only vape a few drops of the custard I got, as the flavor states in my mouth for hours afterward. I much prefer single flavor samples, sometimes mixed and matched.I finally did it. First I wondered why the small screws for the deck were not already installed, so I tried to thread them in and they only went in a little and stopped... Duh! They were extras... the others were already in there. Then I noticed the leads for the coil were not far enough apart so I carefully made some bends with needle nose pliers... so far so good. Woops, coil sat too far out so had to start over. Kinda messed up the coil, but decided to fix it and add another half wind... worked but sloppy job. Threw in a short wick and started tasting juices (dry burn and new wick each time) I was afraid of this... the tiny drops from the little 10ml bottles were so small... hardly any flavor (still mostly tasted vanilla) but I will say the apple pie tasted great (but weak) so put 4 more drops of flavor in each bottle (only 2 more drops of spice and graham cracker in the apple pie) Going to try again tomorrow.
No one said this would be easy, and i really need some PG and nic to try flavors without the custard!
Quite possibly. I do enjoy a good hot sauce, although despise vinegar in them, things like Dave's insanity are a good starting point. It isn't so much the flavor of the custard overpowering, as it's the sweetener in the concentrates in the custard... Plus the sweetener they added, plus the sweetener in the flavors you're adding.I understand that the custard is dominating flavor, but my mistake was that the tiny drops from the little flavor bottles are so small. Also, I tend to like strong flavors with food, so might need more than someone with a sensitive palette. I'm the guy that says (with food) more ginger, more garlic, more pepper, and I even have a high tolerance for cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and other spices (including hot sauce) I looked at many recipes and first thought "wow that's some high percent numbers"... but I think that's what I need.
There is nothing wrong with how you're doing it.I totally get it that you start with simple methods... try each flavor by itself (and not mixed with custard!) then try mixing those and so on. Lesson learned. Still going to mix them all after quick taste test tomorrow (will he ever learn?)
RY4 is a vanilla caramel flavor, with something resembling a tobacco note in the background. RY1 is a tobacco flavor with a hint of caramel and vanilla in the background. Ry2&3 are, logically, somewhere in the middle. Hangsen makes all 4 flavor concentrates.Good point about sweeteners. I actually don't like too sweet, and yes, the custard is already too sweet. More reasons to DIY. When I first started vaping, I was using unflavored juice, then the first juice I really liked was a tobacco. I hope to make a few tobacco juices myself... any suggestions? Hey, what the heck is RY4? If I could afford it, I'm sure I would love Black Note. The only reason I played this game with VKK is I only vape 3-4 ml a day and getting bored with my 100 ml of vanilla custard. A few years ago (before I tried vaping) a guy I worked with had a high power mod and a RDA and blowing big clouds of vape. I said "OMG what smells so good!" He said it was blueberry and blackberry. I remember watching him on lunch break putting new wicks in thinking "what the heck is he doing... seems like a lot of work" meanwhile I sat there smoking my nasty cigs thinking "darn california tax... $10 a pack... I can't afford this!" Funny how it's all turned around for me now.
