So I just attached my first XL cartomizer to my eGO and in a word it sucks. I am severely disappointed. I can't get a decent hit. Is there a trick to filling it? A trick to vaping with it??
Where did you purchase it and what type is it? I ask because there are Mega cartomizers from Totally Wicked that are easy to refill by simply pulling it open and dripping in. Then there are the other type that have two plastic pieces you have to remove at the mouthpiece then use a syringe to pierce the film and inject with the syringe.
Is this the mega cartomizer that you are asking about? If so, make sure that you fill it with a syringe ( in the little hole after you have removed both covers, you actually have to make the hole with the syringe needle, in the place that looks like it ought to be a hole) until you get one drop out of the bottom. That would be about 2mL. Otherwise I find that I get a dry burned taste. I think you have to flood it a little to get the wick started... or something like that. Anyway, always fill it the first time until you get one drip. Oh, and don't turn it upside down to see if you have a drip yet or the juice will come out of the top.
I have never tried them yet. But I know someone started a thread the other day asking if the "EGO sucks this bad" or something. He had MEGA carts and XL carto's. i wonder if these are not very good...not sure...
Sorry sorry, I meant mega XL ATOMIZER.....but thank you springbird for that because I have to fill my mega cartomizers too and I have yet to do that because I'm chicken!
Anyway, whenever I do get any type of decent vape (and I use that loosely), it tastes burnt. I used probably 2 ml of liquid.
I have some of the cartomizers and I don't like them at all. They start out okay but then they go to burn mode. I turn down the voltage on my passthrough and they still taste burnt until I get so low they don't put out vapor.
I was having the same issue with the cartomizers and found that if you hold them mouth piece down between vapes it resolves the burn issue. The wicks in the ceramic ones have to go against gravity to get the fluid to the atomizer. This trick changed my mind about switching back to atomizers.
