can't believe i went through 4 other e-cig styles (disposable, njoy, kr808, and 510) before jumping on the EGO/RIVA bandwagon...

Mini-review: Great vapor production! Flavors taste awesome (especially madvapes Fried Apple)! Nice warm TH! and it isnt nearly as big as I had anticipated!

So if you are on the fence whether to get an EGO or not... Take it from me this thing rocks!!!!

Now I'm just waiting on LF to get their RIVA kits in so I can get some christmas presents for a few smokers in my life! and a kit for myself because what is better than 1 EGO kit? a RIVA kit to stand next to it of course!

Hi, Fresh! Your mini review hit the nail on the head. I just got my new eGo yesterday and I love it! I'm going to use it all day to test the battery life. Couldn't you just kick yourself for not starting with this one to begin with? I know I could!

Ya it's funny, pics on the sites make it look rather large. But it's really not. I do still like my 510's for shirt pocket around-the-office duty.

Hi Jonny~ the size put me off too, and they are not that large in hand, I like the feel of them, but I have a fave mega 510 and it leaves the house with me too!

I'm actually using this cheap box mod I made from a kit. If I have to bounce around the office I have a 510 in my pocket. Then everywhere else I use this ugly box mod...but I love it....LOL

When you say box, is that like the Janty? I am fairly new and I see something new and different everytime I come online- so not sure about all the vaping devices yet?

Wish I had started off with the eGo too !!! I have bought 10= 510's and tons of extra stuff like cases, chargers ect.
I live in OKla. and still can buy analogs for less than 3.50 a pk.~ my husband told me this new habit is way too expensive- he is having to support both my analog and vaping habits. LOL If I can cross-over to just vaping he will have me around longer and I can start new habits, maybe diamonds- CHECK. LOL

Glad I upgraded to an eGo, too. And glad I bought the 1000mah batteries, because the battery life is a lot longer than the 650mah and smaller eGo batteries. The total length with an eGo Mega cartomizer attached is 5½ inches.

Get the Ego Mega Cylinder atty and the Mega Carts...just got mine for my ego a couple days ago and they are AWESOME, no need to constantly refill....moving up to the 1000 batt next LOL...I love my Ego, the worst part is I tend to fall asleep with it...BUT flip side, no fear of setting the place on fire....:O)...got them at MFS, VERY inexpensive and he just got the carts in too (had to order those else where at the time)....use SMOKE to get added discount....enjoy! LOVE Madvapes Fried Apple too....:O)

No, It's literally a battery box like you'd find at Radio Shack in the projects department. MadVapes sells parts to build your own or every so often has ready-to-go kits that you build yourself. The thing cost me less than $10. Add a cartomizer, battery and battery charger and you're in for around 20 bucks. It's ugly as sin but I love it simply because I built it...LOL. And hell...it works great to boot! I've been a hobbyist since I was a kid (soldering electronics and RC cars, planes, etc) so this kind of adds to that hobby experience for me and has really kept the whole "e-cig" thing interesting and fun.

Madvapes, as well as several other places, also sell prebuilt box mods. I built one myself and I love it.

I wouldn't really recommend them yet. I've had qc issues with a few and mad wicking problems. They also take a few days to 'break in' in and finding a way to stuff the carts is trial/error because of the weird shape.

The attys themselves (ignoring qc problems like leaking horribly out the bottom on some) work pretty well but the carts need improvement. Lots of improvement. The damn opening is just too big. The shape prevents using a spring/straw/o-ring to keep any stopper-type mods in place causing them to sometimes get pushed back and not wick at all or worse, push back and flood/leak like crazy.

I still use them primarily but I can't in good conscience recommend them. I love the capacity though!

If you decide to try them be prepared to mess around quite a bit and probably pop a couple on accident before you find something that will work most of the time.
