First venture into DIY juice

Hi all,

I've just ordered some un-flavoured juice from Juicy Liquid. It is the Juicy Blend e-liquid. It is a pre-mix of PG &V with nic. All I have to do is add flavour which I bought via Totally Wicked. I wanted to mix my own Orange flavoured e-juice. I also ordered some syringes and bottles.

I read through some other threads on recipes etc, but still find them rather confusing. I'm new to all this and it's a lot of information to go through and digest. In fact, it sounds all very complicated, LOL... which is why I'm asking the following--

How much flavouring do I add to this unflavoured e-juice?

Generally, flavoring is around 10% by volume - but it largely depends on your preferences and the strength of the additive you are using - YMMV.

Get online and download a calculator and do some more reading...DIY isn't complex but it can be a lot more than adding flavoring to a premixed nic liquid if you want results that won't disappoint.

You need to be asking yourself questions such as:
* What strength nic do I want? This will show where you should be with the base liquid and whether you need to dilute further.
* What ratio of PG to VG do I want? Remember - more PG = less vapor, more TH and 'harsher' flavor BUT more VG = softer flavors, less TH. This ratio will show how you need to mix a PG based flavoring oil with the base liquid.
* How strong do I want the flavor to be? Lorann's flavors are usually good at 10-15% - some prefer more, some less. YMMV

The juice I ordered from Juicy, is a pre-mixed PG&VG blend with 18mg nic. I had to order the flavouring from another company- just the flavouring. So, when my goodies arrive, I'll do the 10% thingee and give it a try. I'll continue to read up on info. Thanks for your advice, it's very much appreciated
