I have 3 bottles sitting on my counter. It is pretty decent juice. The flavors are a little light for what I like but the juice is VERY smooth. He started out selling in several B&M's and sells at the same price online to not undercut them.

$28 for a 30ml bottle at a B&M is pretty common. Even the flea markets here are charging that or more for crappy Chinese no name juice.

I have lost track of how many times I spent $75 bucks on new vendors to try several of their juices only to not like any of them and dump it on friends. I happened to enjoy all 3 I got here.

You are paying for the packaging, presentation and great customer service. I am in no way a fan boy and it is not going to be a regular juice vendor for me, but I will pick some up every so often. Plus free priority shipping on all orders helps offset prices. I had it in my mailbox 51 hours after I ordered it. He even threw in a 4ml sample of a flavor I didn't order.

I do not even consider a juice that requires being special in order to get it. If I have to jump through hoops to buy your product I will ignore it. In an economy as bad as the one in the US it should not be hard for a consumer to spend their money on your product. I don't care if I vape your juice and rainbows explode from my mouth. If I can't get online, order a bottle and be done, I don't want it. To each their own. If you want to chase it, enjoy being "special".

I didn't chase it. I just ordered some, no big deal. I like it. It's good juice. How do you know you wouldn't like it, you haven't even tried it. Try it before you bash it. I was the same way at first. Then I realized how much cigs cost.

You know.. I'm really tired of people who want to act like "well if you're not vaping five pawns, then you're POOR!"

I think its safe to say that everyone in this conversation is a former smoker. And in order to smoke, you need to buy cigarettes. The typical consumption rate of eliquid is about 3mls a day. So, a 30ml bottle of 5p would last about 10 days. So consider the average consumption rate for smokers is a pack a day. So a carton, would also last 10 days. Show me one place in the country where you can buy a carton of smokes for less than $27.50. We all coughed it up before, (pardon the pun) and upwards of that figure. Is smoking is considered to be a rich man's habit? Not by any means. So why is 5p suddenly only for rich people and not for poor people? True, the cost of smoking might have been a burden to some, but no matter which way you want to do the math, its cheaper. And yes, if you chose to, you can buy stuff even cheaper than that. I'm just saying.. buying/vaping 5p does not entitle you to be a vape snob because what exactly are you holding over anyone's head with that? $12? Sorry but, have your own signature oak barrel of five pawns hand delivered to you by Rodney himself, and vape it on your collection of limited run mechs with cool laser etching and serial numbers (and I'm quite sure some of you are doing exactly that) and THEN you can call yourself a vape snob. Because while it is "expensive" comparatively, its still accessible to everyone.

Well...
Cheap Cigarettes: Marlboro Cigarettes for $20.50!

But...
I vape about 5ml@6mg a day. I've been trying a lot of juices and 5 pawns juice really isn't that great. It would be cheaper for me to smoke with a pack being less than $5 locally. 5p is not even on the same level as Halo juice, but if 5p came in a nice custom decanter, maybe an info booklet on how much better loved the production was, I'd spring $35-40 on 30ml. I could think of 5p as a fine drink or cigar or something for a special occasion, but no, after the special $.50 packaging its just a standard 30ml amber dropper bottle. At this price point ($30/30ml) its really just a slap in the face considering other brands quality. Fuzion Vapor juice is leagues above 5p and comes in plastic bottles at half the price. 5p is just ... a headache for me.

Man I'm really not trying to sell Five Pawns. It's just one of many juices I like. But the misinformation people keep regurgitating just begs correcting. It's $27.50 with free shipping. And that's just 5½ days worth of cigs. Where's the outrage coming from? I will have to try some Halo and Fuzion juices though, based on your recommendation. :)

And BTW. The Cheap Cigs link is more misinfo. You must buy two cartons, and shipping is $9.40 for a total of $70.20. That's $35.10 not $20.50.

I see they have Derailed. It's really tasty IMO.

I vaped something with cinnamon once and felt like my throat was closing up to the point I was considering getting out a knife and pen to perform a self tracheotomy. It was like the time I ate a ghost chili...

I don't understand why people get so upset at this company. It's interesting that thread after thread pops up here with people saying what a rip-off they are, selling mediocre juice and aiming for juice snob audiences. That may be true, and it likely does work to reel in some business. Exclusivity, feeling you are getting something limited and therefore "special" is a selling point for some. But, in the end, the market will decide via sales whether or not they are a true rip-off or selling a unique, quality product for the price the company feels it is worth. If people find their flavors to be less than what they expect, they simply won't buy, not repeatedly. Give them 2 years and see where they are then - that will be definitive the sign of how decent their product is.

It's not any different than paying for a 4-5 star meal at a great restaurant. You pay for the experience and the unique dishes they have to offer (the actual product) and the ambience (packaging and presentation) and service (CS, shipping time, communication). Some people will still eat McDonald's instead, even preferring a Big Mac over something many consider better in quality. Taste really is subjective.

Their marketing gimmicks are as old, not new, and I have to admit I am not fond of them myself, but they do offer a great product, so you decide personally whether it's worth the price or not.

I've had an epiphany re: Five Pawns. Anyone can afford to buy it. No one can afford to actually vape it! Lol. Well, not all day anyway.

I bought two bottles two months ago from a vender, and most of it is still unvaped. Gambit, and Castle Long. Just part of my ever growing juice box. Couple weeks ago I ordered the sample pack to try the other four flavors.

What causes the most problem people have with it, I'm guessing, is the Castle Long. It's the only juice they sell that's barrel aged. It's produced in limited supply. And it's even more expensive than their regular line. So, in a similar way that Ahlusion tends to get people all riled up, Five Pawns provokes that same reaction. "Who do they think they are"? "Why they've got a lot of nerve"! "I could buy five Vamos for the price of one Provari"! And so on.

Why can't we have some of everything? Five Pawns, Ahlusion, some AVE, a Vamo 3, a Vamo 5, a Provari or two? It's all good!

I decided to try out five pawns, I ordered Gambit and got a sample of Grandmaster, I think both are pretty good and maybe in the future I will order a big bottle of grandmaster, I don't think they a ADV, and don't think they the best out there, I do think the price is expensive and believe your paying more for the packing more than the juice. I would rather get the juice cheaper in plastic bottles, yes the packing is nice with the tubes the bottles come in, but I do not like dripper glass bottles, and what happens to all the fancy packing, it goes in the trash. They would probably sell more if brought price down and just didn't do such fancy packing, but that is up to them, just like up to us if we order it or not.

A local B&M sells 5p nearby and I am thinking about pulling the trigger. I am still on the hunt for an ADV. I have amassed I think 15 flavors and still can't find one. I don't even know if my ADV is a fruity flavor or more of a sweet/bakery flavor. Currently in love with Vape Monkey's monkey cream though.

I have very picky taste buds. All of the bakery flavors I seem to want end up tasting "artificial" to me about halfway through the bottle, somewhat acidic almost. Monkey Cream has been the only one that doesn't taste like it has been sweetened with Sweet N Low or something. lol

I have yet to try Gambit but it sounds like what I'm looking for..

Gambit is pretty dern tasty if I may say so. I didn't care for the others (AP and GM) as much, and I haven't (and likely will not) try the rest. You got to pay to play and I got enough other liquid to play with. That said, if anyone doesn't want their Gambit, I'll gladly take it off your hands!

Yesterday I went to Vapor City near me. Had never been there. They had Five Pawns. I'd never heard of it. I tried a couple samples and chose Bowden's Mate. It's mint with a suble hint of chocolate and a really nice French vanilla finish. I really, really like it. It's not an every day vape since it's $27.50. It is California made and I think, in San Francisco. It's one I'd buy again for a treat.

Has it really come to this? Are we really paying for 'Premium' juice now? Don't get me wrong, I recognize the major difference between junk juice like Mt Baker and stuff like Alice in Vapeland, but $30 a bottle? The only possible reason for that is so someone can say, "Yeah, I only vape this stuff. It's expensive, but SOOO worth it.". Bah.

That's so very, very wrong IMO. You're trying to say I'm lying when I say I like such and such juice. That I only buy it so I can act all pretentious and superior. So what's the price point that YOU want to set, for me to be able to purchase a juice and not be judged by you as being a hypocrite? $20, $25? Do you get on the Mercedes, and BMW forums and call them hypocrites? Have you ever even tasted Five Pawns? Didn't think so. For your information, I have a whole box full of juices from different sources. I don't only vape Five pawns.

You knew what you were gonna do when you clicked on this thread, didn't you? Just couldn't resist. What a bunch of monkey poo poo! lol.

    best regards, larry mac

    p.s., bah on you too!
