Just take a mini screw driver or something really small and gently pry it up working all the way around. Not too much or you'll pull it out and expose the wire, just go easy with it and you should be fine.

I will try this but doesn’t sound like a permanent solution.
I want to clean the switch too

Unfortunately with the Chinese vv/vw mods there really is no "permanent" fix. There isn't one with an adjustable post that I'm aware of like a mech would have. It was always the same for me with my old ego batts. When an atty pushes them down too far, you just have to life them up a bit.

Edit: Cleaning the switch would be much more of a daunting task and would require taking out the chipset, not something I'd do on a whim, especially if it was working fine as is.
