So they are metal, cool,,, thanks Credo.

Very welcome. The metal ones are harder to take apart than the clearos...and have a different type of seal on the bottom but it's definately doable if needed. On the plus side, I've never had one leak or break in months of using them. They last and last. Great cartos.

The only downside is filling can be a bit of a pain as you cant see how much juice you have in it. But they are a great product, especially if your a little rough on your carts.

does anybody know or can somebody who has both check - is the cup seal (the one with the fill holes) the same size in a metal one as in a clearo? or is maybe the one that comes in the metal tube might be just a hair bigger? I cant afford buying extra stuff just to take apart and play with lol thankyou

The base of Clearos and Metal sleeves are very close to the same diamater...Clearo's 'might' be slightly smaller.
The big difference is this:
Clearo's have a little rubber seal at the bottom.
Metal ones do not have this seal, but instead have a straight vertically grooved base. When the sleeves are puched down the metal grooves out to form a tight seal.

Anytime I break open a metal one...I give it a wrap with teflon tape or a bead of food safe glue before sticking it back together as a precaution against leaking.

Since Rev 5...they preburn the things so to be honest, I haven't cracked open a metal one in a while. If they've changed anything in there since Rev 4 other than fat wicks and clean wicks (they stopped using that nasty tasting anti-bacteria stuff at packing time that many of us would torch off before using)...I don't know about it yet :)

Yes thanks I have only gotten the clear ones but i have seen pics of the different bases. the guide i read about using a bd syringe tube (not sure what i read lol) used a metal one to make it. they also said that the top cup seal fit tight in the tube where the ones I have do not. Works fine with the original tube though.
I must have got a funky batch of clearos because even though they had the fat wick i still have to preburn them. Several even had droplets of whatever this was on the inside of the tube. Also many of the tubes were already cracked and ones i have used only lasted a few days at least before cracking. I compared the tubes to some i had that were old from another vendor that had worked well and both tubes had the same id and wall thickness. This only leads me to believe that i must have got some from the beginning of the run b4 they retooled or something. I might try again after the new stock is in but hopefully my package will come tomarrow with my vortex and dual coil - I hear good things and might just stick with thoes if they work better for me. Its still a pain to have to 're'build something before you can use it lol

The last batch of Clearos I got from GotVapes were green tinted and have been stellar. A little thicker and not one has cracked or leaked yet...but I have not pulled any apart yet either. I just do as close to a dry-burn as I can and rinse it with a shot of distilled water through the center with a syringe every now and then...keeping the same flavor in the tank.

I did get some early fat wick ones from a different vendor that had a mix match of sleeves in them...some thicker than others, and various lengths even. One had a missing battery contact button but was able to fix it...they did last a while before they leaked and I'm still rocking the cores of all five of those in syringes :)

Now that I have so many in rotation...I'm liking the short metal ones best. I just refill them all in one pass about once a week and stick a color dot on them so I know the flavor that's in it...

say after a little back reading it would appear that several ppl commented about the cup seal or whatever you call it being smaller with the newer clearos - sound like they changed it to fit the thicker tubes. If anybody could turn me on to some i would gladly buy a handful of the old larger ones. Then I would just do the syringe thing right off the start and not have to fool with it for a while lol

Can you take the "IN STOCK" off the OP title it's killing me to see this pop up in my post. It's such a tease

YES YES YES....Daniel, is it possible PLEASE, to change this to something like 'on the way' or 'arriving soon' until they are back in stock? There are a couple of other threads (one or two sticky ones too, I think) that show the same verbage! Then once they're back in stock, the title can be changed to reflect this again??? As Adrena says, this is a daily tease for mwa too!!!!
