Really beginning to hate you folks, something I could really use on sale, But all the other things I was looking at have that little black "Sold Out" on their listing. Could order, but I would have to pay shipping when the other things I want come in. Could we arrange to have baskets/box's setup to hold our items until we are ready to have them shipped? Could pay for them, just trying to save a little on shipping. Could save enough to put another couple of items in the basket...
Actually I think your cart saves when you log out, etc...the only thing is it doesn't do is a 'hold'...
I don't think we will be able to HOLD as we wouldn't want tons of stock pulled out of availability until a person is ready to buy, possibly waiting on an item that could be a week or so from getting here, etc.
But the cart does keep the items in your basket...

how about a buy now ship later i think is what ppl are looking for then they could put more than one order in and have it all shipped together when they are ready instead of getting several separate packages and paying the postage each time.
Chris is goign to beat the crap outta you guys...he does all the physical shipping...
You need to hire help for Chris and let him concentrate on enhancements, videos, the forum, the P.T. Barnum imitations, and..., and..., and..., what else does he do?
It would have to be worked out in the shopping cart code, so the cart could handle multiple credit card charges and track what had already been charged. If Chris had to do it, that would be bad, pun intended.
Maybe it's not worth the trouble. This summer is pretty wild in terms of new items. Once your inventory gets evened out, then it won't be an issue.

I can set up all of that but the problem would be with having multiple packages/order on 'hold' and efficiently being able to fulfill them, etc...
Oh, right. He's got to set the ordered items aside and keep track of them. Yuck. Back to the drawing board.

This is a good idea! Perhaps the buy now ship later could be implemented with a check box added to the check out process that say Ship Now after the final item(s) has been selected. This would mean less work for Chris because he could ship everything in 1 box if the items are cartos or small items and with priority mail as long as it fits in the small box its $5. The only issue that would have to be worked out is if the items need more than 1 box that would mean the next size box would have to be used and that would cost more to ship.
Well, then, he doesn't need any hired help. Do you provide health insurance to him? Does it include psychological care?
