Jes thinkin......

Here is my concept for a flashlight mod with built-in CE2 tank ...

Start out with a dollar store aluminum light, add an 18350 LiIon battery and a CE2 tank mod (possibly with lighting). Result: a long-lasting device that protects your tank and fits in your pocket or purse.

Here are a couple of pics of my concept. Please understand this is not yet a working mod, still have parts on order, just thought you may find it interesting.

Cool idea.
Did you make the drip tip?

No, the top sleeve is a piece of a SS 510 carto tubing trimmed with my Dremel (don't toss those burned out cartos, the pieces come in handy). The drip tip is a 510 metal one and was 1 buck from Goodprophets.com .. I bought several different styles, materials, colors from them all for 1 to 2 bucks each, very good prices. Great guys too!

I was eyeballing that red flashlight at Madvapes, but I am kinda on the fence about flashlight mods.

This, however, is very intriguing. Hmmm, not crazy about the short batts. Wonder if I could find
one long enough for an 18650 and still protect the tank.

Don't know about that. That would be cool though!

the flashlights i use are 3 piece ones that were on sale at Menards 6 lights for 7 bucks, I don't have a way to cut threads but i considered making another top piece be able to screw on the current end, by threading outside of "tank shield" and inside rim.

Maybe something along those lines.

^^ My flashlights i make are all 18650.

Btw, That setup with an 18350 you made is truly awesome!!!

I'm not familiar with Menards but I like 3-piece lights, much easier to work with. Your lights will accept the 18650? WOW! These little dollar store ones will only barely handle an 18500. Sure would like to see pics

My little red mod is still awaiting the 18350's (on order from MV) .. hoping, with the shorter batt, my tank will be completely contained within the FL body, we'll see.

Thanks
