Correct. I take a 7-8mm X 35-40mm piece of mesh and just roll it up around a 1.2mm syringe needle. Jeremy posted a video of rolling it without the needle earlier in the thread.

I could stick a tooth pick in mine and it worked with VG. The mesh needs to be able to slide in thw hole with just a little resistance so it doesnt fall out; if using vg. If it too tight in the wholes I find VG won't wick, a little looseness around the outside allows air to rise and juice to fall through the mesh straw. Too loose and it will flood. Usually the tightness in the hole is where I fine tune it.

Thanks guys,
Just getting my ducks all in a row for when the VS arrives. I am positive it will be easier to work on and use than the Origenny. I fixed the wicking problem on the genny with 2mm coils, now it gives a decent vape with no dry hits or vapor lock.

The feed wicks will take a little practice but there is quite a bit more room to work. The main thing is you don't have to drain it to fix anything on the deck.

Well the VS is inbound and heading for the East Coast. I'll probably get it on Monday.

2015/04/21 03:58 RICHMOND, BC Item departed sort facility.

Found an online shop in Waterloo Ontario selling mesh, so I picked up some 400 and 500 which were the only sizes he offered. While I was there I also grabbed some 30g wire and 0.5mm Ribbon. I figure with all that mesh I might as well try a wick or two in the Origenny with the flat Kanthal. I would have liked to try some 325 as well but he didn't have any listed. :)

When did you order the vs? Where did you order it from?

I have both the FEV 3, and VS, both Hotcig. The FEV3 had a little seeping issues around the base of the tank, it also would not hold the juice correctly in the tank, wouldn't completely flood, but not right. Fix was quite simple, all the o-rings on both VS, and 3 were undersized. I have a pretty large selection of spares replaced the ones on tank base, and around the base that holds it together.

Results, both are now tight on the base, and both feed correctly, I use SS mesh straws, and rayon or KGD cotton for the coil wick. I prefer the VS over the 3, both are great, but the VS beats the 3 for flavor, and matches it in all other regards. Just my observations with the juice I prefer.

I bought both from Focal, though last I looked Gearbest had the VS for 15.88, which is about $7 less then focal. I really don't like Gearbest, they are typically very slow to ship, much more so then Focal, or Fasttech.

Both are really nicely designed atomizers, and rank quite high amongst my favorites.

I have picked up a few things from Gearbest and found the quality to be quite poor. A few of the DT's I brought in on one order were full of rough edges and machining burs. I wrote a negative review about them and it was never put up on the site. :)

I look at Gearbest as a bargin version of Fasttech... Then again it could have just been the things I ordered. Yes the shipping took forever and unlike Fasttech you have absolutely no way of knowing if the product is in stock or when it might be arriving. Everything says 3-5 Days on the product pages. I had to message support to see why a week had gone by and my order was still processing, the girl gave me options and I chose to wait. A week later it shipped.

Only time I order from them is when I know what it is I want, know the manufacturer of the item, and cannot find it elsewhere. Right now I'm waiting on a Origen Genesis V2, only reason I bought it is because they are the only one sells this particular one, and it happens to come with a steel tank. Said ship in 3-5 days they should have said 3-5 weeks, took almost a month for them to ship it, and I'm still waiting. For clones I'll always go Fasttech first, then Focal, Focal beats both by sometimes telling who the manufacturer is, but I find Focal's customer service quite a bit less able/willing to solve issues then FT.

With Focal, always contact Doris, not Eleven. Doris has gone over and above for me several times. Setting aside a mod for me if it was something we knew would sell out fast, etc. Because I've developed a personal relationship, I do tend to go to Focal first. They also have some higher quality stuff compared to FT. I tend to buy parts for attys from FT though as Focal doesn't have mch selection.

So far I'm quite pleased with the Hotcig Flash e's. My o rings are sealing tightly. The only negative I can point it is on the v3, I can move the drip tip if I push it from the side. Its all drip tips so its the machining of the top cap. However its a tight fit putting it in or pulling it out. Enough so that I can pick it up by the drip tip with a mod attached. So its the weirdest thing  I was sure it was going to move around while I vaped, and yet it doesn't, so its not bugging me.

Well is just just so happened I ordered that exact same one a month ago, everyone said that this was the best version to pick up. Popped it in the cart and placed the order, took forever to get it back in stock and a full 3 weeks to arrive here.

I am still playing with it, had to build small 2mm coils so it would wick juice properly without having to remove the filler screw. I was expecting more compared to the excellent Origen V2 RDA but it is what it is.

That ring just above the PMMA tank is a real treat to get off the first time, I ended up using a wide elastic band to help turn the ring. What they all say is true, less force will get it off easier that trying to torque it. I already broke the top off the brass center post screw right at the wire hole by tightening it too tight with 24g. So I have to get a few 3mm x 30mm stainless steel cheese head machine screws to fix it properly. Always good to have a few spares when you drill a wire hole in the stainless. :)

So far I have the one that gave so many issues from FT, the aluminum used seems rather thin, and low quality, but unlike so many others mine works well. I also bought a Tobeco from a seller here in the US, quite happy with it, seems to be made pretty well especially when compared to the FT version. I bought the one from GB mainly for the steel tank section, if the rest of it is made reasonably well that will be a bonus.

Both of the ones I have work quite well, and are probably my favorite Genesis attys, though the Inax MK2r from FT is quite nice. Oh, yeah, both of mine were a pita to get apart.

For the vs (also Penelope v4, 17mm too) I'm in the process of deciding between a Dicodes Telegonos (14500 version, 17mm, 5 - 16watts) and Pipeline Pro Slim (18mm, 16650, 5 - 18watts). One big plus of the Slim, Sanyo 16650 batteries are 2500mah...wowserz.

Anyone have any thoughts between the two?

Well, the one that came was the 18mm. Going to pair it with the Mini Buddha. The 17mm I also ordered was black, but if they don't get it soon, I'm going to have to cancel, and get a different one. Whenever possible, I try to get clones that are different from the authentic.

Tell me how the vs looks on the 18mm. Even though I've seen pics of the vs on the 18mm Pipeline Pro Slim, it's still hard to tell how a 17mm will look on an 18mm device. So I'm curious what you think of the minor .5mm difference around the topcap

Also, what is this Mini Buddha...by EHPro? How is it BTW?
