O-ring? You ain't getting no o-ring back if you drop it down the sink with the watter running. Something metal that will stay down in the bottom of the goose neck yeah, but o-ring? Ain't gonna happen. Can't tell you how many o-rings from the Erl went down my drain.

I fill just to the bottom of the chimney and it leaves just enough of a bubble.

That little o-ring has a mind of its own on the Erlk. It just randomly decides whether it likes the chimney or top cap, or venturing off on its own.

You're telling me. Heck, I would see that o-ring on the chimney, take special precautions rinsing the chimney off and then, poof! Gone! No more chimney o-ring. Like it was magic or something. LOL!

I combined two ways to build together. I offset my coil to get closer to the airhole, yet kept it high enough that the bottom of the coil was level with the tops of the post screws. And then could keep my wick tails on the post screws so the mesh straws still touched them.

Its a mech build. 6 wraps of 26g on a 3/32" bit for 0.7 ohm.

Not sure if getting my coil even closer to the base edge may be better yet? So far I'm really enjoying this build so don't have plans to change it anytime soon. Flavor increased significantly though compared to my first build when I had the coil between the posts.

Sorry for the yucky wick.

Yeah I'm at a toss up between the two. Looks like your almost touching the air screw if your using it.

I think it kinda depends on your draw. The faster the draw the less it needs to be by the air inlet, it seems for me. Just off setting mine a little restricted my draw. Wich in turn did seem to increase the flavor. But a tighter draw would anyway.

This is a wonderful device, the flavor and vapor production is quite a step up from my kayfun's. I will have to look into getting a bigger version for sure. An authentic would be nice, but out of my budget.

Working great on the istick 20W @ 15W with honey tobacco.

I will have to take some measurement so I can get the coil closer to the air hole, the deck is really tiny and I might just have to remove the air screw. If I do find a good close build I'll just shorten up the screw with the Dremel.

What is the common wire build on this unit? I am thinking that 30g would be good considering it's size. I like to work with 26g as it is a stiffer coil, but there is just not enough room to get a decent resistance.

Twisted 30 possibly?

Maybe try a larger air screw or no screw? I didn't notice a change in draw, just a flavor increase.

I run no air screww and like the draw loose as possible. Moving the coil only restricted the draw for my vaping style. Just went back to my standard over posts build and its great. For me at least.

30-35w, 6-7.5v, 1.2-1.6 ohm. 1-2 seconds draw.

So I have been using the fiber coil feeder wicks for a bit now.. They are working pretty good. I get less over wicking with it. And I like that it doesn't push down on the wick hard like mesh.

Today I modified them a little more for 100vg. . Took the coil and wrapped it down to 1/16. Pulled a lot of rayon though it. Holding the coil in my fingers. Got it as tight as possible so I had a bigger fluff at both ends. Stretched the coil so it ran the length of the holes.. I did pull the end coil straight just enough that it wouldn't pull back out easily. Fed though from the inside.. Theres a lot of gap in the holes with the 1/16 coil the length of the juice ports. Vaped perfectly all day at 35w

Here's the inside look at the feeders. I just trimmed the inside tips to about the right size needed for a nice hug of the wick.
