I kinda like Bellus and could consider it, at least it doesn't have a penisring, but bit worried about burning rubber while using single coil.
Would quess the flavour is better since the chamber does look small.

I was trying to decide between the Bellus and the Kronos clone. I read in the Bellus thread that positive post is press fit and even though only one or two people mentioned it spinning i'm just not sure if it will hold up over time. I'll likely go with the Kronos clone (+ nano kit) but i'm still going to wait for some reviews on it.

Alright, I finally found someone with decent drilling equipment to make my dual coil FeV.

Clone chamber, 2nd 3mm airhole:

Ugly ... dual coils:

3,5 mm dia, 0,3mm SS wire, 12 wraps, 0,85 Ohm.
It was a pita to mount them both, with only one 3,5mm drillbit, took me 3 tries. Performance is ok on first try, but I'm not sure yet if it was worth it tbh.

Got my Shenray Kronos from Focalecig this morning. Better flavor, more airflow, 23mm, pretty short with the nano tank, looks pretty decent. Build deck is pretty tiny, but not difficult to build.

Well machined, though I think they need to sharpen some tooling. Not quite as easy to access the deck as the FEV3, the deck is small & drops out the bottom like a Gem, or Bellus. Simple enough to wick, same way as the FEV. I like it, Focal also recently listed a Kronos V2, with more airflow.

I had a v2 so I was able to exchange tanks to make the v3 8ml. Though I rarely use it, surprisingly I notice no loss in warmth or anything with 8 ml tank.

There's two thread pitches, cheap clones suck and have fine thread. The hotcig v3 interchanges with original and the tobecco v2 clone.

You can order from Germany long chimney and tanks but cost more than another whole clone.

Just found this!

I would absolutely get this v2 clone. As far as i can tell the thread pitch is right. Interchanges thread with the evaporator chamber threads. You can put the 8ml on the hotcig v3 base. Actually this is better than my tobeco v2... Shoot!!!.. I might have to order this one too! To make it #4.

The whole shebang, both tanks, plus dripper cap! Only thing it seems to be missing is the stainless 8ml tank section. My tobecco came with clear and stainless section. Only the plastic is shown in photos, but it may still be included just left out of pictures. It would only make sense to include that piece for when the plastic breaks.

And the wireless base!! Omg!! Fev holy grail.

Check it!

Hello, I have some new user questions on the FeV. My current all day vape is a Sigelei 75 and Tobeco Mini Super tank. I am considering ( pretty much made up my mind but I still have questions ) getting the authentic FeV 3.5 for building coils. If you want to know more of my background I posted on the new users forum but I am green, green, green and this will be my first coil building experience.

I read on another Sigelei thread that TrollDragon uses a FeV and Sigelei 30, so I am assuming and hoping that my 75 watt one will work as well. I am currently vaping in power mode at 20 watts on a .5 coil and this is working ok. The FEV looks easy enough to build on; pretty much designed for single coil builds.

I want to try different single coil builds at different ohms. Like .6 to above the 1.0 mark. Here's a few questions and very possible there will be more to come!

1- Will the FeV 3.5 and my Sigelei 75 let me do this?

2- Can I vape at higher watts even if the ohms are higher? Example TrollDragon mentioned is 20 watts at .9ohms in this thread: Sigelei Mini 30W

3- Where do you get the dripping wicks from? I've read about silica, cotton, hemp, and mesh. I just want the easiest to work with and I am talking about the wicks that go through those tiny dripping holes.

4- Is Kanthal 26 or 28 a good starter gauge coil for what I want to do? TrollDragon says he uses .26 for the .9 build.

5- Where do you get your cotton strips from for going through the coils and what do you cut size wise for your strips?

I know some of these questions are probably redundant. I am just trying my best to make this next purchase as painless as possible :)

1. yes
2. yes, power level all depends on airflow/wicking/draw style
3. you want to get stainless steel mesh for the feeder wicks ideally. 300 works fine, you can adjust by rolling it tighter/looser for your juice control
4. either is fine, I'd take 26 over 28
5. this is where you have a ton of options.

2,5mm is the original chamber, yeah. The 3.5 version might be larger, I'm thinking 3mm. Idk for sure, though.

Mesh for feeder wicks gets a +1 from me. I use 400, but others should work just fine, as mentioned.

I think it's a widespread misconception that higher wattage "needs" lower Ohm. On a VW device, what really matters is coil surface and airflow.
With a 3mm airhole, a big coil and good wicking, you can run this thing at 50W (maybe higher, but I havent done that yet)

I was guilty of that until now :)
Zakillah, what do you consider a big coil?
