Flashing LED

Yesterday after using my 1300 X2 manual all day, I pluged it in to charge. It had gotten nocked off the table sometime durring the day and when I noticed, the charge light was off. I tried to use it and the manual button just flashes. I plugged in to charge again and it charged for about half hour and light went off. It still just flashes with no hits. Did it perhaps short out from falling off table? Anybopdy else experiance anything like this?

How many times does the light flash? Three times means that it’s shorted. If it’s flashing several times, try a different charging cable.

Pretty sure its shorted, it just flashed 3 times by itself just sitting there?

The only thing I can think of is to check the battery post to see if it's touching the side of the battery or if it's pushed down too far. You might want to try pulling it up a little.

I contacted SI CS asking about this and wanting to know if battery was still under warranty as I could not remember when I bought it. Without question, Heather sent me a RA number telling me to send it in for replacement! What a great company!

Wow, it just started flashing again, then smoke started coming out of it with top getting hot! Smoke stopped and now it does nothing. That was interesting........

Holy! Hopefully it survives the trip back to S.I. without burning down the post office.

You may want to contact SI again and ask about sending it. They may not want to risk it being sent through the mail.

Now that you let out the magic smoke, it should be OK.

You should be able to pull up your order history under your account. That's how I found my order number when I had to return my battery.

I hope the battery makes it ok through the mail!

You might want to put that batt out of doors for a few hours, just in case.

you should really let CS know that is was smoking.

The smoke you saw was the regulator roasting up...
No current passes thru it now and i believe you are safe.

If i only could gather up broken X2 and 78mm batteries....

It has a short, I would contact SI again. You should get rid of it

you should really let CS know that is was smoking.

Holy sh**, it was sitting on my computer desk, by itself light started flashing, then it started smoking, tip got very hot, now it does nothing!!!! It is on its way to you!

I missed getting it to the post office yesterday so its still here. I will contact them again and see if they still want me to send it.
