Ok this is my experimentation in using braided ss ground wire as wick. As you can see it is solid ss and is verry well braided.
One of the things that drew my attention to this is that when i pocked it up it seemed to want to roll up round very easily as you can see on one of the ends of the wire coil so i cut a piece off and rolled other round. Then i saw that it could be rolled tight by twisting it, now it fits perfect in my drilled out agi wick hole.
I am going to oxidize it now and try to wrap a coil on it and see how all goes.

More pics to come allong with results and opinion

You're doing better to just buy ss316l cable 3/32" with just one wrap of mesh to wrap the coil around one time. It's what I'm using and it's AWESOME. Sucks up juice super fast, get the 7x7, I read a post where someone tried the 7x19 and it didn't work s well as the 7x7. Good luck!

Yeh i know i saw this and was like score not realizing it was silver plated copper. If it was ss i was going to experiment with flat braid WIC on a trip there and rolled and used in a Genesis
