I'm using nearly the exact same setup, give or take. Dual vertical micros - 26 gauge, 2.1mm ID, rayon. The only way to explain this build is to say that if most great flavor RDAs are like having the flavor misted into your mouth with a spray bottle, the Origen V2 with this setup is like switching the spray nozzle to a solid stream. It hits you right in the back of the throat, especially on sweet flavors like Fuzion.

I have about 15 different RDAs, and occasionally change things up, but this is what I keep coming back to every time. It's worth noting that you can lung hit with the Origen, but it's a restricted airflow - comparable perhaps to the Mutation V2 with only the single bottom hole open.

Just thought I would share this with you guys but I just purchased the hobo v2.1 and I have to say if it's flavor your looking for then the hobo is a must have it is waaaaaayyyyyyy better than all my other attys even the veritas but There is 2 small flaws one being the small Allen screws are just hard to work with and the other flaw is that unless you position the coils at a angle it will spit back but I watched Trevor jones video on you tube and positioned the coils just like he did and it pretty much stopped the spit back I used 26 gauge kanthall and did 10 wraps on a 5/64 drill bit with dual coils and the flavor is like no other in my opinion..

Oddly enough, I found that only verticals wouldn't spit for me. Mine is a clone 2.0, that may account for the difference. I have it built to .4 with 24 gauge atm, it's alright. I still get better flavor out of my magma. I'll have to get fancy with it I think. It should be better, I know I'm the limiting factor at this point. The zipper looks like a pain in the .... to build, but I think it'll be my next project. I made a coil yesterday that is one strand each of 24 26 and 28 twisted until she snapped. Great flavor, but takes more power than I want to use until I get some more batteries, lol.

OP Here ---

I found my best build yet for flavor. Stupid simple and easy to do:

Parallel dual coil 28g, 2mm, 7? wraps I think it is. Comes out to .3 ohms. Oh man is it good. I'm picking up notes and levels of flavors I've never tasted before and as a result, my juices are improving :). Both of my RDA's on hand this week are sporting the same build and it's really doin it for me. It heats up super fast too, and even. I am wondering if I should try a tiger build next.

Flavor ...!

I have 28g, 26g, 24g, 22g and also .8X.1mm (28g ribbon) kanthal.

How should I build this tiger coil?

I thought if just a flavor chaser all you have to do is up your flavor percentage in your mix. Am I wrong in my thinking? LOL

WRONG :).

I am a DIY'er and increasing flavor % can actually do the opposite. Also, increasing one flavor can overpower another. You have to walk on egg shells and then go back and put humpty together again =]

Build can absolutely make a difference! I promise :D. How you position your coil and how much and where you place your wick. Technique matters.

Absolutely. This is a triple twisted 27 g 7/64 id. Came in at .41 ohms. I use this build in a couple of atty's and in cranks out flavor. I finally acquired a BF Odin and the flavor is just ok. The main reason for loss of flavor, the coil is wider than the air hole so there is incomplete vaporization occurring. I'll re do the build with some triple 30 gauge so there are only 4 wraps or so and see if that helps.

As you can see in the picture, only the top right of the coil has any kind of carbonization going on. I did raise the coil a tad after I shot the pic and that improved the flavor dramatically.

I am going to have to agree with so many here, twisted coil gives you some incredible flavor! Now I haven't tried Clapton, or any of the other crazy ones out there, but twisted is easy enough to make, works great, and my wick last SOOO much longer. Right now running .7ohms on 28g twisted kanthal coil build. Can't wait to try something else.

I finally have a topper that will hold some Mundy's Magic Wire. Picked up a Mephisto BF clone that has giant terminal holes...

So this is triple twisted 28 g flat ribbon wire that is formed from a single strand of twisted 28 g flat ribbon wire that is then cut into 3 equal sections and then those 3 sections are twisted together in the opposite direction from the original twist which opens the wire back up creating massive surface area!

There is a bit of ramp up time involved, and the wire is super springy but it is an extremely smooth vape with just the purest flavor I've encountered. This build came in at .65 after fiddling with the hot spots. It's a 5 wrap around a (more or less) 3/32-7/64 bit. I say more or less because the wire is SO springy it's hard to really say what the ID is. Next time I build with this I'll drop a wrap and try to hit in the .4 range for a flavor boost but I'm not gonna tear this build out anytime soon.

So I "twisted" some Clapton coil up today, 32 g over 24 g. Did 5 wraps on a 3/32 mandrel, came out at .45 ohms...Great flavor, it's a roaring, noisy build but it vapes very smoothly.

The coil has been pulled out to the edge of the deck and is centered on the air hole of the Mephisto and dialed down to 1/16th of an inch.
