Monkey wrench time, the guaiacol I got from TFA was 10% guaiacol :) not sure if that is 100% or 10% on their website.

 It has been said that DIY is not rocket science, but this is a branch of the art that may come close...
---
I have some the other so called Aldehydes coming (apparently anything over c-12 IS ABSOLUTELY NOT AN ALDEHYDE!!! IT's a F'ing LACTONE!! I love the WWW you can find death threats over "I before E, except after C") I'll report back on them...

---
as an aside... my grandfather was a 'Rocket Scientist', he worked for Rocketdyne, devolving rocket engines... He died of bladder cancer, because for 20+ years he ate his lunch sitting on a box of plutonium...:facepalm::facepalm:

You do have to give him credit, he did make innovations that are used to this day, and at the time no one knew the effects of that damn box that was the perfect height for that desk...

Many additives used by tobacconist are irritants and relay on these properties to increase nicotine absorption. Remember during combustion much of the chemical materials are broken down into other compounds. They will be available in smoke at drastically smaller quantities than if utilized in e-juice. Serial dilution is the safest method to reduce concentrations without sophisticated equipment.

Thanks for the heads up. We are kinda in the wild west here (not just thread, but all of ECF). There are some of us who will try about anything (within reason, including capsicum, yummmm... DOHHHH!!!) and others who seem to enjoy spreading panic and paranoia. You sound like a refreshing voice of tempered reason, always welcome 'round these parts.

any thoughts on Cinnamaldehyde?

I don't have a degree in bio chemical engineering so I think I'll leave it to the much smarter then I people around here before I tackle any of this stuff. I'm fine with my AP and EM molicules for now. But I certainly will be following this thread

D'oh! Back to the drawing board, lol.

I think it might be a good idea to create a web-app to do the calculations. Something to add to my to-do list. The guaiacol I had come in was only 1%.

even with guaiacol 1% I'm getting great results at 0.5%-1%.
the Aldihyde c-14 is amazing stuff, dilute it to 1% and use up to 1.5% for an incredible peach tone. the c-18 is good, but haven't had much time to play with it.

Caryophyllene Oxide 1% is f'ing brilliant in tobacco, adds a cedar note, strangely it also works well with coconut...

Has anyone tried the Tetramethylpyrazine 10% yet? Its listed under the tobacco notes and is described as giving "nutty, musty, cocoa, drying, peanut-like and raw coffee notes". Every flavor molecule I've researched thus far has an inhalation/eyes/skin warning, so that was no help. I ordered this one and put 1 drop per 10ml in a batch I made 2 days ago but haven't given it a vape yet. I thought it'd be a good idea to consult this thread first.

Ohh sorry, I thought they were currently testing some of both.

Well be sure to let them know how your testing with this goes, either way I'm sure they'll appreciate your thoughts on it.

Np, thank you for the heads up. Its comforting to know I'm not the only one venturing into flavor molecules. I've shared my experiences in the thread as well.
