I've had my 510 for about a week, and it's the best ecig i've had, but i'm curious if the flavor isnt as strong as its supposed to be.
Is this normal and is there a way to i guess.. fix it

I mixed up my own juice and used Lorans flavoring in it. I am using a 510 as well, although I have never owned a different device to compare it to, The juice i made has a good flavor now that I can actually detect and its much better then the Dekang stuff i bought.

Im waiting on some new juices i bought from nhaler and im interested to see how it compares flavor level wise to the stuff i made.

I just ordered a 510 myself, and I've also read where the vaporizer is hotter, which causes a reduction in flavor, but an increase in vapor.

Although my stuff hasn't arrived yet, I was thinking of an inline mod, that would allow one to adjust the voltage on the 510s vaporizer, useing a small, pcb type mounted resistor.

Perhaps this exists already, perhaps not, does anyone know ? Seems to me it would be a valuable addition and perhaps allow 510 users to adjust the vaporizer temp to suit their own personal preferences, or the particular brand of e-juice they are currently useing.

If anyone knows if this exists, or some reason it wouldn't work, share the knowledge with the noob ! ;)

I use a 510, and all my juices are DIY. I make flavors from 5-20% depending on the flavor. Perhaps because I am not familiar with other PVs I don't really know what flavor is supposed to be like, but it sure seems like I get great flavor from mine. Some flavors are stronger than others. I have only tried 3 juices flavored by a seller: coffee, chocolate and vanilla. The ones I make are far better than those were. I don't know how much the 510 atty kills the flavor, since I make the recipe to the amount of flavor I like. If it seems weak, add more flavor. Problem solved. Just my $0.02.

There are a lot of threads in "experiments with equipment" forum on similar things to a voltage regulator. But I would simply get to know your PV when you get it. If you do DIY juices, you can make flavors to your liking. I personally don't know how well the 510 atty would vaporize under lower voltage...it may not...but it might be easier to regulate things at the juice end, and allow the 510 to run at the voltage it was designed for, at least in the beginning. the 510 atty is very good at what it does, but it is a rather finicky device. There are, OTOH, many higher voltage mods that use the 510 atty, like the Chuck.

ps. As for getting comfortable with it. Of course. Im not going to tear apart my brand new device without trying it as is. I did, however, order a kit with 2 complete units, and at some point when they burn up, need replaced, wear out, whatever ... they will get disected.

So if anyone knows of an inline adjustable voltage regulator, that is perhaps in the form of a small barrel you can just scew on inline, speak up.
