Flavorings

So I got my first order of flavorings in. I ordered from Best Flavors and I got the vanilla and the chai.
The alcohol is overwhelming. It is unbearable. It reminds me of a mistake I made, early on, when I placed an order with Virgin Vapors.
That stuff I got from Virgin, I let it steep for months and even left the bottles open for weeks...the alcohol never went away, so I can't imagine it's a steeping issue with these Best Flavors.
So, am I missing something? Are FA and Wizard Labs flavors full of alcohol, also?
Are there any flavor companies that have flavors not full of alcohol and that are diketone free?

if they aren't alcohol based flavors try leaving they open for a bit . i generally use tpa,or fw , they say if they are diacetyl and diketone free . i know some tpa are

Wizard & Bull City both carry about 7 different brands & the flavor descriptions note alcohol, ace, & diketones in the description of the flavors. ECX isn't quite as clear as the other 2. Pricing is comparable. I know Bull City doesn't rebottle, not sure about the other 2. I know nothing about Best Flavors, are they making their own flavors or selling a selection of brands?

I believe Best Flavors is Nature's Flavors 'for vaping' line, but I'm not certain.

Bull city does rebottle some flavors. Tfa, flavor art, and inawera for sure. Some they offer in original package or original bottle at different prices.

Not a chemist. What I understand is all flavors have alcohols in them. The base molecule is use in the extraction and delivery medium.

Not to my knowledge regarding alcohol. Diketone free is claimed by most flavor blenders to some degree.
Since you have been vaping alcohol with no problems in the past until you came upon Best Flavors, suggest you not order from Best Flavors.

I do know that some herbal tinctures are produced without the use of alcohol for extraction. I was hoping to find the same in an e cig flavoring. Perhaps none exist.

It's not so much that I care about vaping alcohol, I just don't want that overwhelming taste. If I have been vaping alcohol in my juices, I'd like to know how they calm it down.
Like I said before, I could just never get that taste to go away with the Virgin Vapor juice.
This is my first attempt at DIY...the first flavoring I have purchased.
I have no plans to order from Best Flavors again, I was just wondering if all flavorings smell like a bottle of everclear the first time they're opened.

I don't think the OP cares about Diketone's as i didn't see it mentioned by him but regarding the powerful smells of flavorings that's pretty normal.

No experience with " Natures " flavorings as most use FlavorArt , Capella's , TFA , Flavorah, LorAnn's and FlavorWest .

The strong smell and incompleteness of freshly mixed juices is why the overwhelming majority of vendors and DIY ers steep juices for extended periods of time .

Many vendors steep for months to be sure their juices taste the best that they can.

Ah, I have seen many juice vendors suggest a two week steep period, so I assumed they mixed and shipped and that a couple weeks was all that's needed.
I had no idea some juices were steeped for months.
So, all the flavorings you mentioned have a strong alcohol smell at first?
and after months of steeping that goes away?
Man, I thought I was going to find a vanilla I liked, throw it into some VG and vape away...

If you love vanilla pick up some TFA Vanilla Swirl, FlavorArt Classic Vanilla and Capella's Vanilla Custard either V1 or V2 depending on your preferences.

Both are extremely popular , sweet cream or even whipped cream is great for Vanilla vapes as well .


That "two week" recommendation is really a minimum time frame for juice to come out good imo . Some flavorings are excellent right after mixing so it varies widely .

What i found out and i didn't believe it at first because it seemed excessively long to me is that many popular retailers steep for 3 months .

I can say with certainty that color changes do change substantially over time , at first maybe a light amber , two weeks later a darker amber and then a month after that it's like a dark red in color and the taste does change as well , for the better 90% of the time.
