Well you know it's all "To Taste" anyway, and that's always different for everybody, so not sure how they (flavor vendors) come up with use 5% or 10-20%, ect. I guess they have to say something, like Wizard Labs says 5% for every TFA I think
For FW, I've seen 1-2% ranges mentioned by users, and others saying 10-15% for the same flavors, so I think it just is up to each user to test and find what they like same as most other flavorings. Of course, they'll always be a few flavors that a super low % might be a good starting point, so if you see someone mention a low % then it might be good to start in that range.
If I see someone mention they like xxx at 2% and it's not an SC flavor, I'll usually make a 2% and a 5% for starters just to be on the safe side, and then if both of those are good but weak to me I'll try 10% and see if it's too much, if it's not I'll play with it like any other and go "To Taste".
Not sure what's up with the ones at DIYJuice that don't say FlavorWest, I assumed the same thing you mentioned, they aren't FlavorWest flavors, that or maybe a combo of their flavoring and another brand too. I think some of the combo's are 100% Flavor West, but not all, but that's just my assumption based on the names of the flavors in the combo's.
I just got my first order of five flavors from them, love Orange and have only tested it at 2% so far as I figured it was initially oil based so I started low. A few others I tested starting at 5% and they're WAY to weak for me (Butter mint, Snowflake, Teaberry). Teaberry is actually pretty decent at 5%, but the others are basically bland/no taste there. So I'm thinking Teaberry maybe great at 7-10% or more, and the other two 10%+ I imagine. I'm going to test those two at less than 5% just to be sure it's not too much flavor killing the taste, but I'm doubting that.
Still need to test Creamy Nut Delight, but it's smells AWESOME!!!! And I know one vendor that for sure uses it for one of their most famous creations, and it might just be that flavoring alone too, it's a killer juice too so it would be great if it's just that.
I like their flavors so far, and already have my next cart there getting filled up, can't wait to get in another order!
*Forgot to mention, that's odd about your DIYJuice bottles, none of mine state percentages to use at? I know the site says that generic "Usage Rate .25 to .50 Food Item", and I think Flavor West says says the same thing too. Maybe he just ran out of certain labels the day he bottled mine?

The labels on mine are kind of plain, DIYJuice logo and flavor name, then size is all that's on my labels.
I guess it doesn't matter anyway, they are all the same as long as you buy direct at one of his stores. And I don't think their "Super Concentrated" like it mentions on the Flavor West site, at least not in the "Super Concentrated Use at 1-2%" like we are used to hearing for the Chinese flavorings like VZ sells.
