Hey,

I'm venturing into the world of DIY and would like to know what are the usual flavors that require little steeping, this is simply because I want to start of simple and learn the ropes on which flavors are the strongest, weakest how they react with each other etc without having to withstand long periods of time waiting to try something that might not even be usable.

I do have an ultrasonic cleaner that might help, I'm starting of mixing with no nicotine, so I'm guessing heat isn't going to be a downer here.

Cheers!

I'm with Rat2Chat2 on that. Most that I've mixed taste pretty good right out of the gate, even better given time. I've been using a crock pot at 150 for speed steeping - 3 to 4 hours. Best I understand, your ultrasonic should do the same.

The only standalone flavors I've made are mainly vanilla ones. They start out good, then become yumms. The rest have been complex recipes I've followed. With those, I was so surprised how good they were from the get go.

Some say heat is the trick, some say shaking/vibration. I know heat is working for me, I already had a crock pot, so that's what I do.
