I tried to press the post from the outside bottom (it's a Vision 3.5 ml pyrex tank) and it doesn't move. Do I have to take it apart to test?
Great! No SLP. So much for that theory.
OK. The juice is leaking through (or around) the atty in order for it to get to, and exit from the two air holes on the bottom cap stem. That much we can be sure of.
Here again, I am in virgin territory - but we're gonna get through this!
Common problems that lead to gurgling and flooding (and [theoretically] leaking) are:
1) The atty is not screwed in completely (not really, really tight) but finger snug.
2) Screwing the tank onto the battery to tightly (just barely finger snug)
3) Juice that is too thin (kerosene effect)
4) Juice that is too thick (molasses effect)
5) Too much voltage (my atty's are 1.4 - 1.8 ohm @ 3.2V
6) Damaged atty OR damaged tank tube/stem OR missing gaskets
NOW..
a) How many VN tanks do you have?
b) How many tanks are leaking?
c) Do you rebuild your attys?
If we can't solve this problem - I may need to PM you with my address so you can send me the faulty tank(s).
Sorry to be persistent, but this sort of negative feedback concerning my beloved Vision Vivi Nova tanks, "Gets my blood up!", as the Limeys would say .
