Oh yeah, I forgot, between my affair with red alert and banana split, was butterscotch. I couldn't get enough of it. I didn't get sick of that one, I still like it. But once you get used to the medley of subtle flavors in banana split and others, butterscotch tastes quite singular, no depth or mystery, but good. On the other hand, butterscotch, for that reason, is great for things other than a dripping atty, because when you have it in a vivi nova, the muting of the flavor is not that big of a deal, because its only one flavor. Conversely, when I go from the HH 357 to the vivi nova, with banana's foster, you defiantly notice the subtleties are missing. I love flux, I just really wish that I could buy a bigger bottle, like 50 or 100ml. I have asked them, via the support system, and they checked, but said no, not now at least.

See, I taste all kinds of things in butterscotch. Caramel, vanilla, butter, cream. I also like dulce de leche, but it becomes a bit muddy for me over time.

I agree. That's why I go for French Vanilla so it smooths out the juice and adds some sweetness.

Good point. I'll give it a try when Flux gets it ready. Their frothachino did not have the dark burnt flavor either, but it was less sweet than I expected. I probably am biased because my all day vape is banana split or, my favorite, banana's foster, so I probably didn't notice how sweet it was, all I noticed was that it was a lot less sweet. If you eat a piece of candy, then sip sweet coffee, it will taste bitter in comparison. All in all, I'm happier with flux, than any other company so far, and its been a while.

Okay. I've only been at this vaping thing for about 5 weeks, so take this for what it's worth. I'm being honest. I spent over $50 on these 5 and feel I need to review them. I've bought eliquids from half a dozen online retailers now and bought about 20 various bottles of e-liquids from my local (3) vendors here in Naples, FL.

First, what am I using.

Mod - Smoktech Z-max version 2 on RMS setting and variable wattage at between 8-10 watts.
Tank - Vivinova version 2.5 with the 2.4 ohm atomizer on it
Battery - Panasonic IMR Hybrid High Drain 18650 2200mah Flat Top Li-Ion

I just picked up 5 different flavors from flux.

1. Bananas Foster - 17 mg
2. Candy Cane - 17 mg
3. Apple Pancakes - 17 mg
4. Golden Pie Crust - 17 mg
5. Heart Throb - 17 mg

What do these taste like to me?

1. Bananas Foster - It tastes like bananas foster. Problem is, the alcohol taste is juuuuust a little too high for me. This seems to have improved after 5 days of steeping.
2. Candy Cane - Tastes like peppermint. This is by far my favorite flavor.
3. Apple pancakes - Nope. I think this tastes like pancakes. The apple is VERY subtle almost indiscernable.
4. Golden Pie Crust - Maybe. I'm not sure. The buttery flavor is just not there. It tastes like somthing is wrong with this one.
5. Heart throb - I'm not sure AT ALL what this is supposed to taste like, but the description is not right to me. I won't say what this REALLY tastes like except that it almost went straight into the trash.

Perhaps there is something in regards to experience with e-liquids similar to wine. Only after years of drinking it (wine) can you taste the subtle differences. Problem is, these differences were not so subtle to me. Perhaps its my equipment or settings. I would look forward to anyone helping me out in tuning things up in order to get these to vape well.

General issue with all these flux flavors - There is something that tastes......well.....off about all of them. It's the aftertaste. I'm not sure what it is, but Iv'e not experienced anything like it in any of the 100+ different flavors I've had and vaped to date at these same settings. I know that isn't a lot of flavors sampled because I am still sort of counting, but its enough to have SOME idea.

Throat hit - ALMOST non-exhistant with all of them except candy cane. I would expect that one to produce a good throat hit. I'm not looking for a hard punch here, I realize im at 17 mg. If I go too high on the voltage or wattage they taste like they are burning, especially with puffing. My tank is broke in as well so I know its not the tank being new that is the problem.

Vapor - Not bad. I'd call it moderate WITH CANDY CANE. The rest are mild to moderate. What am I comparing this to? Pretty much all the liquids I've vaped at these settings with this battery on this mod which have been seemingly far greater in this department.

Overall rating (1-10 scale) = 5-6 for all except candy cane. I'd give that a 7-8.

I am going to let them steep for longer. I have tried them at day 1 and after 5 days of steeping. No change in taste. I have never had to steep a liquid before. They are sitting in my dark closet with the caps off. I will report back at 1 week of steeping and 2 weeks of steeping. Any longer than that and its just not worth the hastle to me. So far not so good. Sorry Flux. This could just all be my inexperience, but nothing has come close to this with the modest amount of flavors I have used.

I would be willing to try some other flavors from Flux. I would have to sample anything from this point on except candy cane. That would get thumbs up. I expect more after steeping. I guess only time will tell.

Never throw out anything after first tasting it.... Many different flavors require steeping so the flavors meld properly. The worst tasting e-juice I've tasted was completely different after a couple weeks of steeping and is now one of my favorites.

To steep an e-juice... open the cap and put it in a cool dark place for a while... test later to see if it has improved or changed more to your liking.

I can relate to your experience. I use Flux flavors as my main vape, but only after giving up on them, and then coming back to them with a different approach. I have had flavors that give a great throat hit on a vivi nova, where flux may be a little weaker. But, I found out why that is, Flux flavors, in my opinion, can take more heat than others that I have tried. If I put my Banana's Foster in my HH 357, I can vape at ten or eleven watts without the flavor getting burn, or distorted. Those flavors that have a strong throat hit on a vivi nova, just don't seem to be able to take that high heat in an atomizer. A vivi nova's coil is not as wet as when dripping, so there is less juice being atomized at a time. If you flood an atty with Flux juice, you can crank the heat way up, and still get a great vape. I just got in a new order of Banana's Foster today. I finished off my old bottles, and switched to the new one, without letting it steep, just to see what it was like. There is an aftertaste, at first I thought it was a wick taste, but it is the juice. The taste goes away when it steeps. With juices that taste great right out of the box they steep somewhat, but with flux, oh man, they get better and better. Taste Banana's Foster, Banana Split, and especially Butterscotch after a whole month of steeping, and they taste like they are the actual deserts/candies. If you want that buttery tastes, try butterscotch after a week or two of steeping. The banana's foster is my favorite now, it has a great flavor, but is pretty mediocre when brand new. The Bavarian Leche, I forgot about that, try a sample of that. If you like Bavarian cream, it is pretty great. Leche is milk... or cream. Oh, and about the alcohol, you can open the cap for a few hours, or a day, and it will get better, but it will reduce the potential of the flavor over time. In other words, if you just want to vape the juice now, take the cap off for a little, but if you are going to let it steep for two weeks or so, then you need those volatile parts to stay in there and help the juice meld. It is kind of like soaking fruit in grain alcohol. If you want to drink it now, let some of it evaporate to make it less harsh, but if you want to drink it in a month, leave it closed. Good luck

I was wondering what you guys do about the bottle?
While I like the eye dropper, it doesn't extend far enough into the bottle to work when it's getting past 1/3 full.
Do you transfer the liquid into another bottle?
It seems like a waste to me.
I don't like them eye dropper things. I pour juice into one of these instead...The GotVapes Convenience Fill Kit - 10ml [gv-Convenience10mlFillKit] - $1.95 : GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more

I use another dripper bottle, or the inokkin U Can. Dump it out into the U Can, or, if you use a dripper bottle, use a syringe to get it all out. A syringe, without a sharp tip on it, is a great tool for vapors. And the other post pointing you to those needle tip bottles is a great idea as well.

All are good suggestions, but I wish the bottle was designed like most others where you can use it without resorting to those workarounds. A nice little drip-cap like would be nice IMO.

Wow man !!!! Excellent. Thanks for the advice. I love it. So....what you are saying is steep with the cap off for a day or so if you want to give it a good try, BUT......BUT.....if you want to let it steep for longer you should do so with the cap ON.......

Is there some sort of steeping process you go through for the long periods? Could you explain it? Or....is it simply storing it with the cap on in a dark place (like a closet or something).

Flux. I will take back everything I said and put it on PAUSE until one month from now.....with the proper steeping procedure that is.

Also.....since I have had them steeping for 4+ days now with the tops off.....am I screwed?

A lot of people have different ways of steeping.
Like you, I was very disappointed in my first couple of Flux juices, but let them sit a few weeks, and now love them.

My method of steeping is to let it sit in my bathroom cabinet, and every few days give it a good shake. I'm sure others will give different imput on this.
