Well ... that darn Group buy Squape finally showed up! My initial impressions of it are very good, it appears to be the Winsmoke Squape with the olive deck. There are no internal shorts, and my greatest task has been getting the machine oil smell and taste out of it, for which I have some tips.
Cleaning : The machine oil is the most difficult to remove from the base of the device. Using a blunt tip syringe, fill it up about .5ml with Dawn dish detergent, and inject it directly into the center air hole, and place the base, and all other parts into soapy hot water and let it sit for 15-30min.
Rinse the base directly under your faucet and allowing the water to flow into the air channel for about 1 min. Then take your syringe and fill with hot water and inject it directly into the air hole. Repeat this several times, blowing out the air hole every three shots or so. After several cycles, with your mouth covering the base and air hole, drawn in .. you will be able to taste whether the base is clean or not. If you can still taste machine oil, then repeat the entire process, but once around was enough for me to get the machine oil taste out.
I will write up a review, including build photos in a bit ...
