... Unfortunately, I believe the GP PAPs is 20x1 threading, and the SR is 20x.5 .. Gotta be careful with brass threads, luckily I haven't stripped any yet, and I am extra super careful when threading the hybrid cap on the 4nine. I heard someone stripped the threads on their clone after a week, and there is even a youtube video of an authentic 4nine owner who also stripped their threads after a week. Well, you could always buy a brass SR and share the top cap between the two ... I now use my SS Stingray switch on my Infinite brass SR because one of the magnet in the brass is kinda weak.

My Vamo broke. All the buttons got smashed in. I order new electrical pin switches for them. Will solder the new pins in when they get in. I broke the whole Vamo down to pieces. Sucks.
** Important User notes and Tips for the 4nine hybrid adapting mechcanical mod **
I would usually wait until I do a review before I passed along user tips, but due to the nature of this particular mechanical, I felt it was important to share it now. Since the clone's release, I have come across so many stories of "user error" posted on the net with regard to the 4nine. This is an advanced user device, which means there are certain things that the user must know first, in order to safely use this device.
1. You MUST use an atomizer that has a 510 pin that is a minimum of 1mm (preferably 2mm) longer than the 510 threading on the atomizer. This is necessary in order to prevent shorting. You CANNOT use an atomizer that has a 510 pin that is flush with the 510 threads, as doing so is potentially dangerous.
- The second reason that you would need to use an atomizer with a long 510 pin (2mm is ideal) is because the length of your pin directly affects the length of the throw on the switch. The longer the pin, the shorter the throw. The longer 510 pin also eliminates any crunchy feel to the switch action. The further the bare copper switch has to travel up into the tube to make a connection, the more "crunchy" the switch is going to feel.
This is the same with the authentic 4nine, so this is not a clone issue, its just the nature of this mechanical mods design.
2. This was created with the intention of being used with nipple top battery, not flat tops, and for basically the same reasons that you must use an atomizer with a long 510 pin, to prevent shorts, and to decrease throw. If you use a flat top battery, which is not recommended, you are also going to have a longer, crunchy throw.
- For those users who insist on using flat top batteries, they are also using additional magnetic battery spacers in order to eliminate the crunchy switch feel, by shortening the throw.
Being that this is an Advanced User mechanical mod, it is not for everybody. If you do not have the proper atomizer, and batteries, or are not willing to get them in order to use this device, then you should not get the 4nine.
I have been using the 4nine with a KFL with a naturally long 510 pin at 2mm (sku 12113), and a nipple top IMR battery, and the performance of the mod is perfect. Nice short throw, no hot buttons, no problems.
When I switched out atties for my Kayfun 3.1, whose pin only protrudes by the minimum 1mm, all of a sudden the switch feel changed, and became crunchy, and awkward, even with the same nipple top battery. So even as 1mm pin length is the minimum recommended, it is still NOT ideal for the best switch action.
The 4nine is a great mech when it is used according to the original creators intentions.

Weezy how did you smash your buttons in?? .. spontaneous testosterone spike while pushing the button?
Trying to take the Vamo apart the first time. My co worker put the device on a vise. Without looking at the pins he crushed them. Tried to ratchet strap it off when all you had to do was pull it apart.
. But that Vamo is too long. I topped that off with a Kayfun and "Damn"

I made 2 orders from the Dragon boat festival and one of them arrived today. Wall buys got the orders messed up or the shipping labels misplaced and received an order with the other order# on it. It probably is not a problem and I will know for sure when the other order shows up.

Sorry for the double post but this is kind of important. New photos of the Vamo GP were posted and I think this may be a lot better version. I think this is the new software version, the screen looks to have multiple items showing and I see a box like the better Vamos have versus the white box I received.
Can one of the Vamo experts look at the picture showing the screen lit up and see if this looks to be the newest version, If so I give everyone permission to buy at least 3 and sell 2 for a modest profit on CL and keep one for free or just keep at least 3 for yourself.
