We have white gloves at work, so I can sport the MJ look :p

But don't think I want to be wearing a glove all the time though

 Wait ... what glove we are talking about? :glare:

Nailz, I would be so tickled if I could watch you vape a work with one white glove  ....

 .... so vinyl wraps are sucky eh? I have never wrapped a device  I am actually thinking about leaving it black, and getting a black Kayfun 3.1 because the one FC has looks so beautiful :D This is how I will pay homage to my picky Brit, and resident Darth Vaper aka Nailz
A lot of people like them, but I tried it once and had to peel it off - that plasticky stuff felt sucky in my hand. Black on black is classy! You could always diva it up with drip tips.

Hmmm...the Cats atty would look really good on that...

Could just pick up a Russian pin from FattDaddyVapes and extend the 510 pin a bit to tweak the Kayfun.
Mine works great as is.

Also if the throw is excessive - 1mm x 5mm magnet takes up space:)

Thanks. I need to get a magnet to fix it. The atty is not the problem. Doesn't seem to matter which of my toppers I put on.

Just a not so quick note about focal ecig: ordered a DNA 30 box mod, was told there was a problem and had to wait another week. Finally got it and the fire button sticks, ohms jump(sometimes as much as ,3ohms) and there's a lip on one side that's a bit sharp. The last one I can deal with but the first 2 make it a time bomb! Opened ticket, sent video of the button sticking and was told that I wasn't using it properly because I pressed the button quickly and didn't hold it. Lol if it sticks quick or slow, it sticks. Asked for replacement and was told I'd have to pay shipping both ways, told them now I wanted a refund and was told I'd have to pay to ship their piece of crap to them. And was told to close my paypal dispute. These guys are a piece of work! I've never seen such bad cs in my life. I own a real dna30, a Cana mod and for them to say I'm not using the device properly? I didn't even want to make the video because I didn't want to play around with an unstable device that could cause a meltdown. I was using a vtc4 but who knows what could happen so why chance it. Just a word of warning: they don't stand behind their products or honor their return policy. So buyer beware and they're no fasttech, fasttech replaced my dead battery and paid the shipping, no questions asked.

Yes it does take a bit of practice getting use to coiling it, but if not new to making coils, then you soon get the hang of it.
The version on focal I would say is like the very 1st v4 fogger, it has the smaller build deck, so holds around 5mils of juice, the air control ring is not threaded, so it is free to move itself, but took mine off, so no problem for me.
I also have the newest version of the fogger, and the only real difference I can tell between the newest fogger and the one from focal is the air control ring, the one focal works/vapes just as well as the newest version, but the one from focal is cheaper and with that metal section, makes it a much better deal IMO.

Does the center pin on your's screw in all the way Nailz? Mine won't screw in past the 510 so I just use it without a screw. Fogger V4 on left Kayfun on right.

Who were you speaking to in CS if you don't mind my asking? I agree, this does not sound like a good way to do business, and I would be ...... off too.

You can go with the magnets if that is what you choose, but I completely disagree that it doesn't matter what atty you use, because it absolutely matters. This device was created with the intention of being used with a long 510 pin (protruding at least 1mm beyond the threads, but 2mm is ideal), in addition to a nipple top battery. I know the 4nine very well, and have reviewed two of them. The throw is directly affected by the length of the 510 pin, and the length of the battery used with it.

I also have a KFL V2 by Infinite, which I also reviewed, and I would not use that atty with the 4nine without first modding the 510 pin to make it longer for use with the 4nine. Over a month ago I drafted a few user notes, and recommendations for this mech, and I stated that if you use a short 510 pin, you should expect some crappy switch action to go along with it. If the short 510 pin wasn't an issue, then you wouldn't need an extra magnet to remedy the situation, now would you??

The main reason that so many users are having issues this mod is because in spite of all the clear directives, and useful information you give them, they insist on doing what the want anyway, only to come back later, and post about their problems. You can lead a horse to water, but you cannot make them drink .... The switch on my 4nine is as smooth as a babies bottom, and it should be because I know how to use it.

Thank you for your advise. What atomizer would you suggest?

Any atty with a naturally long 510 connection, or an adjustable 510 pin like the Russian. If you are handy, than you can possibly mod the 510 pin on your KFL V2 with a tiny oring (unscrew the pin, place oring around the neck of the screw, and screw it back in), which will cause it to protrude further past the 510 threads. I am lucky that my first KFL has a very long, 2mm 510 pin, or my Kraken which is about 1.5mm. The Magma has become a popular pairing with the 4nine because it's pin is also naturally long, and I hear that it creates the perfect throw on the 4nine.

This is a comparison pic from my review ....

I spoke to Doris last night about the website issues, and by that time she said the issues were fixed ... And FYI, the SXK/Infinite Stingra X is on its way to the US warehouse right now.
Just tried ordering again. Coupon code didn't work. Are they supposed to? As in are some recently expired? Also will they be bringing back the wishlist feature? I liked being able to collect things I might want to get at a later date.

Aren't they prone to shorts too, when the pin isn't long enough? I would think that, with the +/- connections so close together and right on the battery like that, you'd want all the leeway you could possibly get, just to play it safe. Alternatively, you can use the separately-available upgraded topcap with the 510 connection, right (just wouldn't be hybrid anymore)?

I hear about these things severely shocking people and I bet that's what's happening. The hit gets a little skewed and, because there isn't any leeway, the battery ends up touching both the pin and the threads (the threads aren't supposed to touch the battery). Then they warn other people about how unsafe the mod is. Maybe it's a safety feature that they built into the mod, requiring that the pin be long enough for the switch to work right. :2c:

I put in my first order with Focalecig this morning. Got 10% off using FCVAPINGCHEAP. I ordered the Beast Flip. I already have Fastech's brass V3 flip and while I love all the engraving and the lock, it's the flip feature I like the most. I wanted to get the stainless version for work since I'm really good at dropping my mods while I'm there. But since FT doesn't have them anymore I thought I'd give Focal's version a shot. Now I need another cheap kick to drop in this one also.

Stingray X up on USA warehouse..
Yes it is. And with numbers dropping as I tried and tried to purchase one and get 10% off. Vapor Joe's Canada code, FSVJ10 didn't work. The code above, FCVAPINGCHEAP didn't work. Every time I used the pull down menu to select USA as the country it cleared the Stingray X from the cart.

Eventually I got the Stingray X to stay with USA filled in. So I just ordered. Its only $3.50 but I feel cheated. :(

I really, really hope they get their website fixed one day. Perhaps I'll give them another try then.
