So I just made my first Purchase with focalecig, an acerig manhattan and lancia rda from the US warehouse. However, I didn't get an order number nor can I view my order under my account. Is this normal?

Thanks for the link! A little off topic, but does anyone know the name of this manufacturer?
I'm looking at a copper tres evo that comes in this box.

Update: JM Mods? Now I'm confused.

JM mods is an authentic modder, so whatever is in the box is just a clone of an authentic, but doesn't speak to who the Chinese Manufacturer is.

How are they with price protection? I just ordered an Erlkonigin clone for $19.36 2 days ago and now it's on sale for $13.90.

I am not sure .. email them and ask?

Your order will only show up on your account if the account is registered under the same Paypal address that you used at check out, as KTMrider has said.

You can email CS with the Paypal address used at check out and they should be able to give you a order# which starts with the letter Q. Of course now you will have to wait until Monday because FC does not work on the weekends.

Sweet, I changed my paypal email to same email registered on FC and received the order number. The Lancia doesn't ship until Tuesday so its all good, hopefully it gets sorted by then.

How expensive was it? I also read the feedback of someone who sent their Robbot ZNA to HOH for the Evolv DNA 30 upgrade, and he is very happy with the result. He said it took 2 weeks from shipping to return, which is not bad at all. :)

$15 plus $3 shipping. It comes with the double adjustable pin and a new clear insulator. You have to use the new insulator since it's different than the stock piece.

I'm still debating whether or not i want to send one of my Robbot clones to HoH for an upgrade. They are supposed to start offering the new DNA 40 chip for clone upgrade around the new year so i'm going to wait until then to decide. I figure by then there will be plenty of reviews on the new chip and if it's good will be a nice xmas present to myself.

With the nichrome wire only requirement to get the heat adjust feature all it becomes is a 40W DNA30, in which case I ask do you really need the extra 10W? I find myself barely over 20W when I'm vaping something that needs high power and the battery life's pretty bad as is. Up near 40W just seems too much for a 18500.

That is not too shabby .. How difficult was it to swap them out? I may need to jump on this ... I have been using the Rose V2 and Squape R exclusively with the Robbot since they both have adjustable 510's.

Aha .. didn't hear about the "nichrome only" thing. But to be honest this new temperature control feature doesn't really move me at all. I don't find that I have any temperature issues with my current regulated devices that would lead me to believe that this feature is something that I want or need. My interest, in any would be the overall quality of an Evolv chip.

My understanding is you can still use resistance wire (like kanthal) with the DNA40, but you won't have the temp control feature. So in that case you still have a quality 40w chip. The temp control can only be used with the ni200 wire.

As far as whether one needs 40w, depends on what you're vaping :). I just got a Doge as a belated bday present and I'm running it at 40-50w. However, all my tanks are running below 30w.

It is a lot for an 18500 battery though. Best put that 18650 tube on the ZNA.

I've been looking at DNA 30 clones for a few months but haven't bought one. The DNA 40 was interesting and I can see it being safer as some of my cotton wicks do burn and that can't be a good thing. After watching a few video interviews with Evolv, I like the company and what they stand for enough that I want to get an authentic DNA device. I don't need 40w or even 30w but the other features are worth it to me. I have a rDNA 40 reserved at the local VS shop. Definitely more than I wanted to spend but it's the smallest form factor with the chip so far. I think it might be the cheapest DNA 40 device too :D.

Glad my photos were of some help :)
Would love to see some pics of the DNA40 board up and running in your Wotofo once you get it assembled :D
thx Drifter. when I eventually get my hands on a DNA 40 i'll let you all know how it goes :) I was a little intimidated until your pictures showed me what i'll be up against. but, I really wish I had access to a bead blaster :) there's a sand blasting company not to far from my work, maybe we can come to an arrangement lol.

I don't need the extra 10W but I figure if I'm going to pay they them to do the work anyways I might as well get the new chip in it. I don't know if I'll use the heat control feature but at least it's an option. From what I hear they are only going to ask $10 more for the DNA 40.

It's not difficult at all. Remove the hex bolt, use an Allen wrench or something the same diameter as the plastic insulator to push it out from the top down. Insert new insulator and pin and you're done.
