I probably wouldn't have if it cost more than the $4 I spent (I wanted red  )
It makes it easer to apply tension to your wraps when one leg is screwed down, and it's nice conveniently having the mandrels I need in one tiny gizmo.

Yeah there is that (tension). Arthritis has also been bad lately. And its cold and my finger tips are cracking. So they are throbbing and painful. Maybe I need one for winter.

How many of you have a coil jig? Worth buying one?

I have a KK Vapetek coil jig and the Artistic Coiling Gizmo. I don't use either anymore, lol. I just use my trusty 2.4mm screwdriver. I've wrapped enough coils now that I can spin one on the screwdriver every bit as good as if I had used the jig or Gizmo. The most beneficial thing for me now is straightening the Kanthal before wrapping. I spent about 15 minutes tonight straightening and pre-cutting about a dozen lengths each of 22ga, 24ga, and 26ga. It really makes it a lot more convenient when I need to roll a coil. Just grab a pre-cut, straightened piece of Kanthal and do my thing.

Baboons might be apes. I'm not sure, lol!

Nope, they're not
Old World monkeys are medium to large in size, and range from arboreal forms, such as the colobus monkeys, to fully terrestrial forms, such as the baboons. The smallest is the talapoin, with a head and body 34–37 cm in length, and weighing between 0.7 and 1.3 kilograms, while the largest is the male mandrill (the females of the species being significantly smaller), at around 70 cm in length, and weighing up to 50 kilograms.[2]

By superficial appearance, Old World monkeys are unlike apes in that most have tails (the family name means "tailed ape"), and unlike the New World monkeys (platyrrhines) in that their tails are never prehensile. Technically, the distinction of catarrhines from platyrrhines depends on the structure of the nose, and the distinction of Old World monkeys from apes depends on dentition (the number of teeth is the same in both, but they are shaped differently). In platyrrhines, the nostrils face sideways, while in catarrhines, they face downward. Other distinctions include both a tubular ectotympanic (ear bone), and eight, not twelve, premolars in catarrhines, giving them a dental formula of: 2.1.2.3

I looked them up after I posted, lol! But, thank you for the education :). I should probably know more about our primate relations than I do.

I knew you were lurking, which you know is against your rules :) :rules:
Billet Box is OK, just been a long time since I used a box mod, (I built my own in 2009). But I like the internal tank, no topper to hang out the top, wish there was more like it, except it needs a battery voltage indicator, one pull good, then the next battery dead.

You just need to check in more, we miss you... (and I mean all of us, not just me)

I was totally pulling a page from your book by going into "lurk mode" :p .. I pulled a Burnie, and you pulled a Nikki :D

Sigh .. just trying to keep my head on straight, and my schedule organized. I am in serious research mode right now and feel like I don't have enough time for anything. I am secretly wishing for 36 hour days

The Billet Box is really nice looking, and I love some of the color options available for it. But its bad on battery life eh?

Just do what you need to do, We'll Keep the Light On for Ya.

Anyone tried these from Nicoticket, The Virus (H1N1), Wakonda, & Custard's Last Stand, I just ordered 10ml of each to try, need something different. I have been reading they will need steeped for a while, how long is the question and how did you like them? I know taste is subjective, just wanting to get an idea. I won't get them until the 1st as I'll be out of town from Thursday to Sunday on a short break (fishing).
