Sorry to hear that. For me anyway...lol After Doris gave me some crap about my order I ended up buying the 3pc mixed vela from FT.
If you have the FT vela can you tell me if the parts are interchangeable?

Oh I have no idea how the FT version is, although the 18350 has reviewed well. I was contemplating buying theirs as well, but after comparing specs with the Focalecig Caravela, and realizing it was an EHpro, I decided to go with them. I like weight to my devices, and the other major selling point was the three firing pins, and extra spring ... I'm a sucker for extra's :p. And I also wanted gold top and bottom caps.

Even without having the FT version I can tell you that the parts will not be interchangeable ... Focal Caravela is 23mm, FT Caravela is 22mm.

ok well my order is here.
about the GT that broke, most of the GT clones coming out have a two piece topcap and chimney tube, the original is one solid milled piece.

the clones have the chimney tube press fit into the topcap, on the fastech one there is a problem with this tube being off center and not fitting correctly into the chimney cap, being off centered and the stress of being pulled sideways has caused several of them to become loose and fall out, which mine recently did.

having looked over the FC version of the GT it has this same tube, yet two advantages over the fasttech version, one the tube is actually straight and fits in the chimney correctly, and secondly the FC GT is actually a 1:1 copy whereas the FT gt is just a cheap clone

what this means it the FC version fits all the parts from my real one exactly where the FT one does not, so in the future I will just order a real GT topcap and have a pretty nice copy for cheap. overall i am more impressed with the FC version, the metal is finished better and has a nicer luster and polish, and I see no reason it shouldnt work fine as long as it isnt abused or mistreated.

so i feel a little better about it now.

now on to the Kraken - interesting to say the least, i havent set it up yet but several things stand out compared to the fasttech version.
the center pin is different and looks to be a better grade of steel.
the whole atty is actually smaller then the FT version, smaller body means smaller chamber means more flavor.
the metal cover is screw on where the FT version is pressfit.
the overall machining is slightly better with a few features the FT version missed like the lip on the atty deck for condensation.
the washer looks to be stainless and not plated.

overall i am very impressed with the FC versions and will look into them again over fasttech when looking at something they both carry.

 THAT IS HUGE! But I like the body styling of it :) At $139 I hope you're buying

I have actually been thinking of getting this. But there is not much reviews out on the web for it yet. Plus I have been saving my pennies for a nice DNA 20 mod on the classies :).

Thrasher good to hear about those RBA's. I got the taifun and the ithaka, both just looked better than the ones on FT. Although we know how deceiving pics can be.

Thanks so much Thrasher for the details ... Now I am even more tempted. At first I was put off by its looks based on pictures, but then I saw it on video and it looked much nicer, and I like the ease of filling it.

For the Kraken, at first I thought my metal cover was stuck because I had assumed that it was press fit like the FT and original, I even pm'd a couple of members asking how they removed it, but while I was waiting for a reply I figured it out by accident  I put some e liquid near the bottom and slowly started to unscrew, thinking I was just "easing" it off  ... noticed the threads after.

This was actually a pleasant surprise for me because I had heard so many stories about the glass on the Kraken's breaking or chipping while removing the press fit metal sleeve, and also accidentally pulling off the glass while removing. With a threaded sleeve there is no chance of me pulling of the glass by accident, and there is no undue pressure applied to the glass while trying to remove it.

Good stuff with the Fogger V3 as well. I spent this evening washing it and rebuilding the coil w/cotton and the V3 is WAY BETTER than the V2 ... I am going to do a more formal write up about it tomorrow. I have heard about all the troubles many Fogger V2 users had with that version, so it will be nice for some to hear that the V3 is a more successful version. Finally I am fogging with the Fogger :D

So true, that is why product reviews are so important. Pictures can make an item look worse, or look better. Both the Kraken, and the Caravela from FC look so much better in person, than in the photos.

Ahahahaha, we sound like the same kind of knucklehead  ... I also put it on a Mod and started pulling, and pulling, I was like ...!! Then I figured I should stop before I break my new treasure. Too funny! I think they should add "threaded sleeve" to the item description to save us the trouble of thinking our cap is stuck ... and the threads on it are very good as well, screws on and off with ease.

edit: The AFC on the Kraken is all that and a bag of chips! Its such a unique feeling draw and vape, I quite like it!

I pulled the trigger on the big nasty 26650 mod so now I have something worthy of my new toppers when they arrive from FC :)

Oh sure, make me depressed ... I have the Fogger V3 sitting on the Caravela right now, and its doesn't match in style ... but damn that Caravela hits amazing.

I am officially JEALOUS CROCKY!! ... but seriously, I hope you like it. That is one beastly looking mod, I think the Fogger V3 would be perfect on that.

We'll to be honest this is my first time getting my feet wet with a real mech. I got the turtleship clone and paired with a grand vapor rda coiled at about 1.8 (as low as I feel good with right now) that thing has me wanting more. I have always been super nervous with mech mods but I am hoping the vaping gods will be with me always. I have a resistence checker so I always check before adding to a mod, hopefully that will give me a little piece of mind. I am a huge VV VW fan and never really liked mechs but I think with my new ithaka and taifun I have coming in along with my scuba and Sophia I need to rock them right so fingers crossed. Also I was hoping to get a couple 2 cent fuses but I don't think one will fit inside the big nasty tube. I think everything is a pretty tight fit as it is. But I have also heard those MNKE batteries are pretty safe as far as batteries go...IDK, these are new waters for me

Oh you are just killing me softly ... the scuba and Sophia too eh? .... I'm done, I don't wanna hear about your awesome stuff anymore CROCKY!! (I tease)

edit: If you are questioning what battery to get for your mech, I recommend Samsung INR18650-20R all the way. Excellent ultra high drain IMR battery with a 22 A limit, you can't go wrong, it has tested as one of the best available.

Its good to be cautious, and move slowly .. I did as well when it came to mech mods. As simple as they are, there is a lot that you need to know in order to use them safely. I am very comfortable with them now, and I prefer them over my VV/VW APV which I don't even use anymore, except to check my coils when I build them.

IMO, the vape experience is better on a mech. At first I thought that the quality of vape would be less being that its unregulated, raw battery power, but my experience is actually quite the opposite. I also thought that the vape quality would diminish greatly as the battery volts decreased, but also not true. I mean there is definitely a difference between 4.2 and 3.7 volts, but its not like the vape goes down the tube. Sometimes a fresh battery is too much, and my sweet spot is between 3.9-3.7v.

Just remember to not discharge your battery below 3.6v ... IMR batteries prefer a shallow discharge, and will last longer if recharged at 3.6v. If you go lower, don't panic, below 3v is the real danger zone.

2nd edit: just realized that you need a 26650 for this Mod ... the Samsung is good for your turtleship though, and I like that Mod too btw.

Testing them worries e a bit as I tend to vape on the k100 I have until I notice a difference then change out the battery. Yeah I need to find a way to test them without having to take them out and put them in my zmax. I can't figure out how to test them on my multi meter so I typically take them out once I notice a difference in the vape and replace.....may not be the best way. I can't imagine one would get much vapor at all at 3v or at least you would sense a huge difference in performance. My biggest worry was making sure the coil was proper before using. The MNKE are the ones they suggest for the big nasty so that is what I went with. I got the Sophia on the way, won a slim tank in the by leo thread so I figured why not, The learning curved will definitely be there. I sold a few things and recycled my vape money....never realized how much I love recycling until I started vaping.....LOL. I couldn't get my money tree to shoot Sprouts so I had to turn to something else and selling to buy more does it for now :)

Oh and by the way, I use idle tracker app for all my packages and both FC and FT packages are in the same place.....Processed through the sort facility in Shenzhen China
Even with the items from FC saying 3-7 days processing time they shipped the same time my items from FT did that said shipped next day. :) winner winner chicken dinner!

I'm absolutely loving the Caravela mod. Got it for $12 after a coupon code when they had it on sale for $14. I like it more than my Nemesis mod from VapeRoyalty. Ordered an 18650 tube from FT and of course it does not fit. Anyone know where I can find a proper 18650 tube?

Oh you lucky dog ... I also had that coupon for the $12 promo on the Caravela, but by the time I went to use it, it was no longer valid. Its all good though, $14 was a major deal on this Mod, and I have since heard from another Nemesis user that this Caravela hits better, and I am not surprised because I was blown away at the vape on a battery with only a 3.7v charge remaining.

No way the Fasttech 18650 tube would fit Focalecig's Caravela because they are different in diameter ) 22mm vs 23mm. Only US sellers have the EHpro 18650 Caravela, and of course you can't just buy the tube, you have to get the whole Mod.

I think the 3-7 days shipping is more of a safety precaution, and most times the item will ship within 1-3days. Just remember that you are not going to get another tracking status until the package actually hits the states, which I learned from experience over the course of my last three shipments from China.

I think I might try focalecig next, I just got my first shipment from FT, took one month exactly which is not bad taking into account all I've read about the shipping problems. Got me a launcher v2 clone which is absolutely amazing, a couple of bottles of 30ml and 50ml, one of them leaked inside ofc, just a couple of ml, but enough to change the order receipt from white to pink .. and a trident clone that doesn't screw on anything -SIGH- still, I'm really happy about the launcher v2. One thing I've noticed about focalecig is that it doesn't have the latest and greatest when it comes to clones, nor did I find any e-liquid when I first checked it out. I guess I'll check again sometime.

Give them time, Focalecig is just started out, and building their inventory. Just like FT, they need the feedback and requests of customers to know what items are hot, and that we would like to see available. The vast majority of FT's inventory was developed via customer request. They have a support ticket system where you can request that certain products are stocked, and if 15 people or more request the same item, then they add it to the inventory.

So by all means, email Focalecig and let them know what products you would like to see in their inventory ... I recently spoke to Doris via email and she says that they will be adding a lot of new items after the holiday. I didn't ask for particulars, so I don't know what they are, but I look forward to seeing what they put up.
