This was my thought before I pulled the trigger. After building my first coil I was like.... that's all? LOL

So true ScandaLex! .. btw, how is that acute case of shinyitis treating you these days? Being that I am at least partially responsible for one of your recent flair ups, it is only right that I inquire about the status of your present vow of vapeporn celibacy. .. confess gurlfriend, did you give it up to the crystal nasty??

So you have the Tobecco eh?? Well, I realize that you are not here everyday, but if you could take some photos of the device disassembled, so that we can peak inside, and see what's happening, that would be greatly appreciated. :D

I'll see what I can do.. It may be a few days. Plus I don't have a great place to take pictures in the house. Probably because it's always dark in here plus my camera is just ok. Maybe by the weekend.

a quick update on my orders :

2/12/2014
Taifun GT
Status : Collecting Products Now

2/18/2014
Samsung INR18650-20R + some junks
Status : Package Shipped
---------------------------------------------

So i'm guessing they are having problem with fulfilling the orders of Taifun GT. FT just sell this same version of Taifun GT (at least i'm assuming they are the same), and it's less than FC price, I wonder if this is creating a difficulty for FC to fulfill the orders since FT already bought the whole thing. Hmm, hopefully not...

This would be awesome, we definitely need more details on these!

I am eager to get a squape but I also don't want to throw money out the window even if it is $22. Found one on ebay the ehpro version but still not sure if it has the proper deck material. Anyone know? It is double the price but I don't mind if it means reliability.

Now that one definitely does look anodized, read looks, I don't know that for sure, and the description says ceramic coated, but that seems fishy. Those are awfully sharp corners for ceramic. Ceramic usually comes out rounded a bit.
I can tell you this - I've read a few comments about problems with the glass thickness on the EHPro.
I wouldn't say $22 is throwing it away though. There are plenty of other people out there willing to give it a try if you don't like it.

Beside you
Give up on using mesh wick on my TGT. Manage to oxidize one and when i fire it, damn that taste..Something which i didnt taste for quite sometime ever since i change to a ProTank II running on ekowool or cottonwool.

Rebuilt it using cottonwool for now. Probably gonna look at hemp fibre. My colleague offering his help to do some ceramic wicks for me thou.

Anodized as in not good....right. I was thinking the same thing but then was thinking the originals was that color. Need to do some more research

Just stumbled upon this thread looking for info about Focal and noticed you guys were talking about the Squape clones.

The plastic tank version on Fasttech is the same version that Vivid Smoke sells as a Hcigar, it's also the same version that Rainbow Heaven sells. There have been problems with the insulator in the 510 connection and there have also been leaking issues - the earlier copies had very poor finishing.

The glass tank version on Focal is the Winsmoke version which is very good apparently, it's leak free and the best of the lot.
From what I've been told, none of the clones have an Ematal coating, they are 'hard anodized' but this isn't a bad thing as it's very tough and also food safe - anodized aluminum is also non conductive.

Incidentally, Twisted wasn't promoting anyone when he mentioned the Winsmoke and he's a very honest reviewer. He actually prefers the Winsmoke Squape's performance over the original that he owns.

That's a thin limb to go out on without being 100% proof positive on a manufacturers anodizing process. Some anodizing processes do leave the base material conductive, and if the proper oxide level is not achieved the material can also still be conducive.
While we're on the subject, another problem with anodizing is cracking. Anodized coatings have a much lower thermal conductivity and coefficient of linear expansion than aluminium. As a result, the coating will crack from thermal stress if exposed to temperatures above 80 °C/176°F. This may be on the higher end of atomizer temps but is not hard to reach, and if you do happen to crack it, well, fail.
Sorry, don't mean to turn this into a Squape thread.

FASTTECH DOES NOT SELL THE SAME TAIFUN GT .. Fasttech sells the Rainbow Heaven Taifun GT, not the Hcigar, as has already been discussed at length, several times in this thread.

The reason for the back log at Focalecig with Hcigar Taifun is because once it was announced that Focalecig was selling the BETTER Hcigar clone, THEY WERE BOMBARDED WITH ORDERS!

Ah, I gotchya. I was leaning more towards the "is he lying thru his teeth" or "trying to nefariously promote certain products" credibility.

Just stumbled upon this thread looking for info about Focal and noticed you guys were talking about the Squape clones.

I did not state, nor did I try to imply that Twisted is a liar, not at all. I am not questioning the man's Integrity ... I said, based on his actual experience as a vaper, and a reviewer, I do not consider him to be the most credible source of information. The guy started vaping like 8/9 months ago. Why would I ever substitute his knowledge and experience for my own?? I wouldn't .... Most especially when he has not articulated anything beyond "trust me guys, this one sucks". ... for all I know, maybe he just sucked at using it?? There is this thing called "user error" you know.

If he had done a review, on camera for the clone that supposedly sucks, even then I would take his statements with more than a grain of salt ... but he didn't review the bad clone.

He made a video comparing the original (and modified) Squape, to the Tobecco Squape clones, and then made mention of the Winsmok in another. Then he popped up on Fasttech and started a thread about "the Squape clone that sucks"... with little or no concrete info about the sucky clone mind you.

Twisted is a "good time guy" that started making review videos for fun, and is very much loved for his "regular guy" commentaries .. I get it, I've been subscribed to his channel, and watching his vids since October ... for fun. But I would not regard him as an authority in this business, based on demonstration, and/or lack thereof. That is not a knock to him, as Twisted himself is very forthcoming about the fact that he is just a regular guy who started making review videos for the fun of it, and there is nothing wrong with that. But vape gear Guru he is not.

Now Phil Busardo, Mark Todd, Rip Trippers, Scott/Igetcha ... these are the reviewers whose opinions I would place some stock into, and for good reason. All of these reviewers have demonstrated a sound, and well rounded technical understanding of e cigarette products. And when any one of them either approves, or disapproves of a product, each of them is able to articulate in clear, concise, and intelligent terms WHY their opinion is what it is ... this is why they are regarded as credible sources of information with regards to e cigarettes.

So, for anyone who chooses to make their e cigarette purchases based on "what Twisted said", that is your prerogative, and I ain't mad at ya!

I know a hellava lot, but I do not know everything, and when I don't know, I don't have any problem deferring to another tried, and true, credible (aka: knowledgeable, skilled, experienced) source of information, or advising another member to do the same.

Now, this is not the "Twisted said" thread, nor is it the Squape clone speculative discussions thread .. Its the Focalecig Thread, which is about purchases made, and experiences had, so lets keep it on track, thank you. :)

If you emailed them, you should receive a fairly prompt response, Doris and her team are very good about this. Just make sure you emailed your proper address, and order#, and I am sure the problem will be corrected.

They usually have very quick and helpful email response time!

Thanks for the responses! As soon as i left work I did in fact get an email! They got it straightened out immediately! I am super happy with them so far. I'll probably be getting more stuff from them after this.

Well don`t stress yourself luv... I also have a crap camera, and its a miracle that I have been able to capture anything decent to post ... out of the several pics, and videos I have posted, there are like 500 photos that never made the cut, because I couldn`t see them

I don`t know Crocky dear, I haven`t heard, or read feedback for the EHpro version yet .. EHpro usually puts out very quality stuff, but with this Squape its hard to say. Hcigar is also known as the best, but word on the street is that their Squape is not so hot .. now I`m not saying what I heard is true, but definitely creates some pause :(
