****** VERY IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT ******
There is a new chinese vendor on the scene whom I will not give the benefit of naming however, about a week ago it was brought to my attention that one of the reps for this vendor has decided to use the name Doris, and so I would like to make it clear that this person IS NOT DORIS FROM FOCALECIG. And from here on out I will refer to her as FAKE DORIS.
When I found out about this little tid bit I chose to not speak openly about it, although I did mention it to Cranky99. The main reason this is disturbing to me is because I know that this person chose to use the name Doris by design, and intention, and I don't like it. I also know that this person is very much aware of Focalecig, and Doris, and it is my genuine belief that this rep chose this name ON PURPOSE, knowing the good, and trustworthy reputation that was associated with it, and had clear intentions to create an undeserved association with the name Doris.
The reason that I am speaking about it now is because I found out today that Fake Doris's plan was indeed working, as the real Doris has informed me that she is receiving emails asking her if she is the same person who works for this "other vendor", in addition to having her name inappropriately tagged on other international vape forums, in association with this other vendor ... This is exactly what fake Doris wanted to achieve ... confusion by name association. So let me just go ahead blow a hole in that plan
And that is not the end of the scandal ... I was actually aware of this vendor prior to finding out about "fake Doris", or even realizing that Focalecig had any knowledge of them. My initial belief was that this other vendor was actually Fasttech in disguise .. Why? Because this other vendor is using Fasttech's exact product page layout, including the same exact product descriptions, and identical product sku#'s, or at least they were as of last week. Therefore, I initially believed that this was Fasttech expanding their horizons, as did several other ECF members.
I found out about the vendor from a youtube product review, and I was referred to the youtube video by a friend who sent me the link, and told me to check it out because the reviewer was telling viewers that the cloned Kayfun, was an authentic Kayfun. At the time, I had no idea about the rest of this nonsense, but I would soon find out ... they say "all things happen for a reason".
Now, since then Fasttech has issued a statement to customers saying that they are in no way associated with the "other vendor", and that they were in fact looking into pursuing legal action against the other vendor for the wrongful use of Fasttech's product descriptions and sku#'s ... How this will pan out, I have no idea, but I at least wanted my fellow ECF members to know that Doris of Focalecig IS NOT THE FAKE DORIS AT THE OTHER VENDOR, SO DO NOT BE FOOLED!!!
