Well me and my kayfun are back to hating each other. Time to refill and BAM! ....leaking. So I rewicked, and rewicked again, and then totally rebuilt to get the coil higher off the deck. Wicked it and leeeeeak. Took it all apart. Checked all o rings AGAIN, together again and leeeeak. Removed draw screw, put it back, tightened to every different draw possible and, well, you get the picture. At least this time I used some no nic base in my usual percentages to do the testing.

So we are now temperarily separated. The judge (my temper) said it was best if we went on a trial separation before Mr. Kaynotfun drove me back to smoking.

:p

Sorry to hear that, i do my build looks bit different that yours, i will take pics when i'm done this tank liquid, may be that will make a difference. I put my coil not on angle to a posts/bricks i pot it in perpendicular to it, so my wicks going strait down to a juice channels.
I know how you feel, that's socks. May me it make sense to build it like Aqua if juice channel are to too deep for kayfun... I would try. In any case best wishes.

Oh no, I am bummed to hear that ... I think its the much too deep juice channels on your deck, its pulling too much juice into the chamber when you draw.

When you are through with your trial separation, I think you should open up the air flow to decrease the force behind your draw, and try building it like I suggested, with your usual coil and wick, plus some additional wicking material inside the chamber to the right and left of the wick, without blocking the juice channel though.

Without having the KFL in my hands, I don't know if the depth of your juice channels are the norm for this particular KFL, but they are definitely way deeper than the average KFL. So perhaps you need to look into a replacement?

That really Sucks... I just rebuilt a kayfun lite plus with nano kit, with a 0.8 coil and man is it hot! A couple drops leaked, but all good since. Maybe you're stuck with a defective one that can't hold vacuum.

Girl, i have coiled this thing every which way but upside down and wicked it every which way there is too. I even invented some new ways myself. Hahah! Maybe I need to see what Doris says about sending a replacement.

Oh and I completely removed the draw screw and replaced it and everything in between. I spent over 3 hours with this thing today.

I hear ya girlfriend :( ... Well, I think you should contact Doris about a replacement, the juice channels appear to be too deep, and unusually square cut based on your pics.

I feel so bad for you because it was your first Kayfun, and you are having a sucky experience  ... and you waited long time. :(

Then I spent 10 minutes rebuilding 3 evod atomizers and filled up the tanks. Back to vaping.

Are you filling from top or bottom? If filling from top cover the air hole with your finger. Fill 3/4 of the way. Put the top cap on and screw it about 3/4 of the way. Flip it upside down, release air hole and tightened the cap all way. Just a suggestion.

Also here my buddy Drifter put a nice pictorial. Also I put one up.

any word if FC is going to get the Fogger V4? I got one yesterday and its a BEAST! it's like having a dripper with a glass tank :) dual 30G @ 1.0 ohm and it chucks it surprisingly well for a non sub ohm build!

if you like the Kayfun, Taifun or Squape you'll love the V4, build quality is pretty decent also. can't put the damn thing down :vapor: highly recommended.

I tried top (did it like u said) several times after watching the top fill method on you tube....leaked. I then did bottom fill method....leaked. I just swam in the hot tub for a while so my temper (from kaynotfun and forum moderator.....dont say p*ss*d on this forum) has cooled and may fool around with it a little more in a few.

I just dont see where Im going wrong looking at all the various builds but ill try a few more times before I contact sweet Doris.

here's one thing to try, mine leaked when i 1st got it and this is what i did.
I made a cil, about 2ohm,put cotton in kinda loose left it long ish. stood ends up like bunny ears and screwed on chimney. put some juice on wick by coil and fired a couple of times to make sure it was working. trimmed wicks back to about 1/2 in above chimney ,pushed them down in side and took a tooth pick and jammed wick into juice channels on each side,I know this is a no no but it was worth a shot.put some more juice on wicks and fired again .put all back together ,making sure all o rings were there and seated .turned upside down filled 1/2 full with juice and put screw back in .turned it up and no leak,so i put on nemmy and vaped most of juice out .filled up further 2nd time but not full and vaped it again with no leakage. its worth a try.
good luck

Ok I got my shipment today. For the record, I ordered on April 26th, it was shipped April 30th, and arrived May 7th. Pretty good.

My item was a KFL+ clone, sku 18286 I believe. As you can see, it did not arrive with a SS tank, just the clear. Unfortunately one of the O-rings arrived busted (just held together by the fact that it was already assembled in box). Thankfully they had spare O-rings, and I have read you can get quality ones at Home Depot for mega-cheap.

The plastic tank doesn't sit flush with the top metal band that it screws into, in one of the pictures I have an arrow pointing to what I'm talking about. This doesn't really bother me though.

Threading is nice, not buttery but functional. I used the fill screw on the bottom which is sealed with an oring on the screw, and it hasn't leaked all day. It's wicking just fine using cotton. I built a 1.3 ohm parallel wrapped 32g, using I think 7 wraps of the paralleled wire. It's hitting nice at about 11 watts, but it doesn't seem to matter too much what wattage I use.

I used a nail buffer to take the rough finish off the drip tip (still finished in pic) as I didn't like the texture to my lips, but it still looks dull like the rest of the atty.

It does have a distinct loudness to the draw, which is airy enough for me with the adjustment screw out. With the screw in, it can whistle with a hard pull. No complaints there: I can just leave the screw out.

My biggest complaint is the atty sits REALLY unflush with my Zmax. The 2nd to last pic show just how unflush I mean, like 3.5mm worth of empty space. I also took a pic of the 510 connection, which extends about 1mm from the threading. I don't know if the issue is my Zmax or my KFL+

The screws on the posts are abysmally small as well, so I'll have to look into how to replace those.

Being my first atty, I figured I'd be harsh. That being said, I like it alot, but for the basic reasons: it vapes well, it seems solid enough, and it doesn't leak. It looks nice, but sitting so unflush is definitely a negative.

Well, I got it working again. I put less less less cotton in it and made the tails even shorter than what I see everyone else doing. I took a teeny teeny tiny piece of cotton and put it on top of the coil. The draw screw is out completely. I filled (not all the way full) with my no nic base and its not leaking. Im not sure which of the above combinations worked this time but no leaks at all and I am getting that vacuum sound (dont know how to describe it) when I draw.

Now im afraid to open the fill screw to put in good juice!!!! Hahahah!

I may never trust this thing, but hopefully I can at some point.
