I'll preface this by saying I've already emailed Doris.

As I posted a few weeks ago, the nemesis I received had serious flaws that rendered it unusable. Doris was going to have a replacement bottom section including switch shipped. I recently received that package and opened it to discover a replacement base...for a Squape. Unhappy to say the least.

Now, I attempted to build my Taifun GT tonight I discovered the base has a short. On the ohm meter with no coil, the ohms jump around like crazy. Also, both posts spin freely and pop out of the base. This really disappointed me as I was hoping for big things from it. Super disappointed now.

I know problems occur now and then, but out of 4 mods I ordered one was unusable. And out 2 out of 7 toppers were bad. The zerotank I ordered also had a short in the base, but since it was so cheap I never sought a remedy from Doris. Will be interested to see her response to this.

Does the tobeco one have the cap go over or on top of the lip of the deck?

The deck has a small beveled lip that the cap sits against.

ETA: Aha, I see what you mean, yes the 510 connection threads are coated in the pic ... I hope someone can weigh in on this, because I am not sure if this will affect conductivity.

It would but screwing an attie on a few times would cut through that coating and it would be fine.

if it's just the threads on the 510 where the atty screws on it shouldn't effect anything. the positive pin on the atomizer will make direct contact with the top caps positive pin. might be tough screwing on an device the first few time but the paint WILL wear off and, hopefully it doesn't make the threads to sloppy after it does wear off...

You need a good ground just as much as a good positive connection

Doris just responded, they will be sending me a full new Nemesis. Awesome.

Have to get her video of the Taifun on the ohm meter showing the ohms jumping around so she understands what's going on. Hopefully this will get resolved easily.

Jeez .. I was actually wondering how you were doing Keymaster, sorry to hear that some of your gear is botched, especially the situation with the Nemmy. But I am blown away to hear about the Taifun though! While defects are possible with all devices, the Taifun is one that I don't think that I have ever heard of being defective, but everything is possible.

At the end of the day I am sure that Doris will make all of this right, although I know it can't make up for time lost, and aggravation experienced. ... Keep us posted on how things work out with this.

Even before I read your reply I was gonna come back and ask you about the Black Copper Stingray but I was nervous to ask you ... in case it was no bueno, and I was wrong about the floating pin I didn't believe I was, but ya never know!

ETA: I think you should get the SS Panzer, especially since you just got a new black Mod set.

I'm not sure what the exact description is. I only taste graham crackers. I would never think I'd like it but I do!

There are lots I've never vaped . My juice search is mostly over.

Graham cracker sounds good in theory, but the flavoring I have, I can't taste ... every time I talk to you I feel like you are vaping a new juice .. lemon butter buns, sticky peen-nuts ...

I am not even sure this website supports animated siggies ... I can use an animated Avvy which totally bums me out cuz I have some good avvy gif's

Well two more sips and my little cocktail is done ... and so I am I swear I have a hard time understanding how people become alcohols .. How do they stay awake long enough for that to happen? I am typing with one eye open right now.

I was making fun of the variety of flavors that I have heard you speak of since I met you .. cakes, milks, and sweet this and that.

I found this new flavor vendor that has a great variety of flavors, not the boring stuff like vanilla and fruit. More like Cereals, and more complex dessert flavors I feel like ever since I was given a bottle of Lucky Charms, I've been ruined ... especially since I ran out this week
