Oh yeah, I forgot about that! :( .. would clear coating the ss help? I am actually thinking about clear coating my brass 4nine because I can't stand the Patina, or the frequent deep cleaning to keep the patina away.

I know they do clear wraps for mods, but wonder how good these wraps go on though, you buy one and then let me know, sound good

Hi all, just a quick preliminary observation since I haven't even built it yet, but just got my Tobeco KFL+ (13539) from the promotion last month. Quality seems to be good, no shavings and smooth threads. Not as precise as my EHPro, but it was a third the price. Also has the newer style o-ring groove in the top cap for better sealing consistency, and included 2 plastic mid tank sections. Overall very happy with the price/quality value.

Just wanted to mention one caveat that could be a very messy learning experience for others getting this if they are not familiar with Kayfuns, or too excited and trying to rush the initial build. It did not come with a base o-ring installed. There are plenty in the little bag, but they missed installing one on the base. They did put an extra o-ring on the chimney tube threads, I'm guessing to prevent shorts in thick wire builds.

Sorry about the low porn quality, but just wanted to show how it arrived and point out the extra/missing o-rings I mentioned.

Wow it looks like Tobeco has upped the ante on the machining, because the Tobeco used to be one of the ugliest Kayfuns you could get, machining wise. This one looks damn near seamless, and I like it.

Are my eye deceiving me? Would love to see closer pics of the body when you get a chance. :)

I am scared of those wraps. :( What is it wrinkles while applying and you can't fix it?? I need to google those, and take a good look. I was thinking of some spray on clear coat.

I know, that's why I've not pulled the trigger on them, wrinkles and air bubbles etc from them.

    New order just placed :rickroll:

Im thinking the same all my brass mods take beating and I like em shiny.
Gonna do some research on what to use would love to clear the tube with some dupli Colo clear or similar.

Would be nice not to have to polish on a regular basis.

Hey Bam! I can relate to your joy, and I am glad that you FINALLY found the CBN at a reasonable price. So long as nothing has changed about the build quality, getting it for $8 more is still a good deal because the quality of it is so high.

Please come back and let me know how it turned out ok. I wanna see it!

PS. I can feel your excitement through the cyber waves

Thanks for sharing in my joy, Nikki! I had a feeling you'd be able to relate! The specs on the CBN are the same as the FT one, and it looks just as great, so I really do hope as well that the build is the same. If not, at this point I think I'd be just as happy just looking at it and holding it! Not really, but you know what I mean. I expect it to be even better in person as you said - really high-end looking.

I fully intend on coming back to give you the deets, and hopefully be able to post some pics too. Now, what to do about all those other mods calling my name???

I'm glad my excitement was contagious! Yours always is too! ;)

No, not seamless, but quite acceptable for the price and the juice channels look good. Until we get the body thing sorted out I'll post these:

I am with you! I can't relate to the folks who WANT patina, so I am all for copper and brass mods being clear coated in the factory. One version of the Penny Mod clone is clear coated, and that is the one that I want! I hope FC's Akuma has some clear coat too! :p

OMG, I hold, and fondle my CBN way more than I vape with it! true story ... In fact, today I took out my gorgeous EHpro Vela for the sole reason of admiring it.... and I am not ashamed. The good news is that you ordered it from the US, so you won't have to wait 12 days to get it, and I am excited for you. But consult me before you try to use it in 350 mode, I have some helpful user tips. :)

And Bam, there are so many Mods screaming my name right now

 you did? Oh Nailzy, we will get to compare notes and stuff, because they are the same mech, just different colors .... COOL!

Yea I forgot about it, till I went into my wish list, I was concerned about the coated threads, but now have copper tape, which you run the length of the tube and it helps a lot with voltage drop, so decided to pull the trigger on it now :)

Lots here use Mechs, Anyone use a Kick? If so can you school me on them? I like Regulated Voltage/Watts. Thanks

Well Burnie my dear ... I don't use a kick, but I know how to use a kick. :D Its just a VW module with a tiny dial on it, and you set it to your preferred wattage, insert it into the mech tube and on top of your battery, and vape! If you are considering getting one, just make sure that the mech you choose is kick compatible. But its really easy, and straight forward.

You have to let me know how the copper tape works out for you! So are you getting any new RBA's to go with it, or are you just going to stay with what you have? I still say that someone should make a 23mm Kayfun, or hurry up and get thos Expromizer clones out! I need more options for 23mm devices, or more accessories for my Taifun's to change them up.

I do have the steel replacement tank, and 7 PMMA colored nano's for it, but I need more accessories!

I'm already using the copper tape on the black Vela, it made a big difference to it, and much more enjoying the Vela now.

No no new atty, I really have plenty right now, but I was considering the Magma, as being raved about, but since getting these new tanks, not really touching my drippers now, think I am going to wait for a clone of the Squape R :)
