I seem to be the odd one out, I got some rayon a few weeks back, and I'm not impressed with it myself, maybe I am just to use to organic cotton, as I did not like the flavor using rayon. In a dripper, it was so crackling and popping, it was annoying to vape, and then in a tank, using the same build and wick method as cotton, I ended up getting dry hits, even though it meant to be better wicking. I did get 10 foot of it, but it is still getting used, as now using it in the wife's protank coil rebuilds, and she seems to like it, but I'm sticking with my organic cotton :)
From what I've read / watched, you should use as much as 2/3 of rayon compared to the cotton you'd use on the same build. That's why you're getting dry hits. Try it with less.

XC116 is expensive, but it lasts a long time, and is a reusable wick .. just dry burn it clean, and keep it moving. But I wouldn't recommend it for a Kayfun unless you use thin eliquid.
The cost of using it isn't the problem, the cost of ruining it is what I'm worried about. I usually screw up about 3 silica wicks before I get a good one, but I will try it someday.

Now for the FC Tobeco Kayfun Lite Plus. Got it cleaned and built, after 2 failed silica attempts (proving my earlier point) I put in a cotton build. Great flavor, almost as good as the EHPro, and a little warmer. This is with a similar build and the same juice of course. The manufacturing quality isn't as good as the EHPro, but that's expected and all is functioning well. My only complaint is that the air intake whistles. Don't know if it's manufacturing or design, but I'll play with that at a later date. In all I'm very satisfied with my purchase. :thumb:

I like the rayon alot to be honest. It wicks something serious thats for sure. Flavor didn't notice much difference but wicking is much better.
Dripping you can tell how much it sucks in and holds.

Need a little more rayon then cotton but hot danm does it hold juice.
I've been using a little over a month now and I like it alot havenr touched my cotton.

I heard the opposite, that you need more rayon than cotton. That's probably why results are so different from one person to the next. Guess now I know that I don't know anything (kind of already knew that) :D and will need to experiment, not just go in thinking I know what I need to do.

Rayon shrinks and cotton expands, you need a bit more rayon than cotton.

For rayon builds it's being preached you need less rayon since it expands & holds more juice than cotton.
I tested this theory (although I really didn't have to cause the GP PAPS gurus are genius) with my RM2, Cyclone & KFL.
The first time in the KF I used too much-the results weren't pretty.

I wonder if it has to do with your vg to pg ratio, the more vg the thicker your juice will be and the slower it will flow across the wick, that's just my thought, I have no proof.

I've be rebuilding the coils in my kanger t3s clearo's for some time now and I have found the rayon does work better. But I have my way of doing it which my be different then someone else and I mix my juice at 25% vg to 75% pg so my juice is thinner. I also drill out the three air holes in the base as well as the center positive contact pin in the base of the coil which greatly improves the air draw, so much so it's amazing and I wonder why they aren't made that way. It's also why I'm having the hard time pulling the trigger on a Kraken and a dripper, these t3s clearo's are working so well I wonder if it's worth the move to something bigger.

You cannot "mess up xc116", it does not behave like silica. It doesn't unravel, or break down, if you mess up a build, you just uncoil the piece you are using, and start again.

Whistling Kayfun's  The Infinite Kayfun doesn't whistle

while trying to order the $30 vela, usual shipping methods (singapore, china..) disappear from options.
only POS Malaysia ($8.65) or EMS ($42.72) are showed. dunno the cause of this (no batteries included, no juice).
is it normal?

No, it is a mistake .. if the listing is tagged as "battery compartment" this will happen at checkout. Just email Doris and explain so she can fix it. :)
