Just wanted to share the deal I got on a great Nitecore intelligent smart charger off Amazon. It's the new 2014 i4 version, I got the four bay one for $16.69 with free shipping and it got here in less then a week. You can charge one to four battery's of mixed sizes or types, each bay is independent, the charger recognizes the type of battery and stops charging once full charge is reached. You can leave the battery in it for weeks and not worry about over charging, heat damage or a fire. Go here and on the link where is reads "Available from these sellers" click and choose the seller Join You, they are in California, not overseas like most of them and it is the real deal, not a clone. NOTE, this one does not come with the optional 12V car charge plug, only the 110 volt home plug in cable.

Please believe that I was lmao when I found out that the mini Nemmy is 14650 compatible  #iamnotsorry
Yup, when I saw the 14650 I just dropped my head. I knew I was in trouble and that you wouldn't let it slide.

The mini is a little more expensive than I would have thought, and I'm not sure I like the gold accents. (Setting up my defensive position, preparing for the upcoming battle)

Yeah that Nitecore is awesome. I like that it is not just a dedicated ecig sized battery charger and they there are four independent bays. Charged up all my Eneloop AA batteries while waiting for my Efests.

The bays aren't fully independent, the two left and two right are somewhat independent. If charging 4 batteries the charge rate is less also.

I'm going by experience with it, in all my devices it shrinks and loses contact with the coil if you don't use a bit more than cotton. When this happens you get loss of vapor production, crackling, dry hot hits...etc.

A bit is about %5 not %50 more.

In the rayon thread general consensus is use more not less.

If less works for you it seems you may be using too much cotton, that's here nor there...if it works for you with less than by all means use less ;)
Just got my first batch and so far I'm liking it. I'm sure I used too much on this first wick, but it's putting up with it. Stuffed as much as I could in there while still being able to move it without tearing/fraying. Works fine, but if I chain vape I can tell it's not replenishing fast enough and I have to slow down. Next one I'll try it just to the point where if it were cotton it would feel a little tighter than I would normally do.

What device are you using?
Quasar on a Stingray with a simple single 2mm compressed coil 1.3 ohm build, and trying it now on an Igo with a similar coil using just a little less rayon. Planning to stick it in a Protank with a stock 1.8 ohm coil, just re-wicking to see the improvement. After a small re-wicking frenzy (just got the stuff) I'll let it settle and see the results over a few hours.

So far I'm liking it. Not a mind blowing improvement, but a noticeable one.

Interesting, maybe I'm thinking you can charge a single battery instead of pairs. I have been charging one 18350 while using the other. My regular chargers have to use two to work.

You can charge 1 - 4 batteries simultaneously, it's just that bays 1 & 2 use the same charging circuit and bays 3 & 4 use the same charging circuit.

Fully independent means each bay has its own charging circuitry and each bay can charge fully independent of the rest.

To charge two batteries at the full charging rate capacity of an i4 you must place one battery in bay 1 or 2 and one battery in bay 3 or 4.

It is about if not the best charger you can get for the money though.

It fired when standing? How did it do that with a recessed switch? Regardless of battery size, based on construction alone, this mod should not ever fire when you sit it down, the switch sits on a ledge within the interior walls, so it should not even be possible because the length of throw changes internally, not externally ..

My button is not recessed. It sticks out by perhaps 0.5mm.

about the nitecore..
slots #1 and #3 share one channel. and #2 and #4, the other one.
so if you put 2 batteries in slots #1 and #3 (or #2 and #4), they'll charge at 350mah (slower, but convenient for 18350 and NiMH batteries), because it alternates the pulses between the slots.
if you put them in slots #1 and #2, or #2 and #3, or #3 and #4, or #1 and #4, they'll charge at 750mah (suitable for 22650, 18650, although a bit slow, and for 18500).

 Well, there may be a reprieve in sight for you after all, I am also a little on the fence about the gold accents, I thought they would be like the original all ss, but all of the mini's I have seen, brushed and polished, all have the mixed accents.

Price was also a surprise for me too .. will speak to Doris about that. But damn, now you have a use for those batteries ... and didn't you say that you wanted a Kayfun Mini?
:D

Your button is definitely not supposed to look like that ... you need to email CS with these pictures so that they can see the switch. You should also photograph the switch outside of the tube, and a shot of the inner tube where the switch goes.

My button is not recessed. It sticks out by perhaps 0.5mm.

No, the Kayfun mini is the wrong size. If I ever did get a little Nemmy I would have to see how my Protanks look on it, but I don't think the muffin top would be ideal. The only topper I know of that is the perfect size is the Taifun GS. Also in the not cheap category. My future doesn't look promising

Thank goodness I have a Taifun GS :D .. I was thinking of trading it for something, but I think I will wait to see if I do pull the trigger on a mini Nemmy... in the meantime, I have bigger fish to fry. I need something for the Stingray X that I will have.

As much as I like the copper TOBH, I don't want another dripper .. I would love it if FC could get the rose copper Kayfun, that would be perfect!
