Broke, so haven't bought anything yet, but this thread is fascinating, so just wanna keep tabs...

Man, so nice to be reading about actual product, instead of all the whining about shipping. :thumb::laugh:

...so there's a heron clone out?

Yup, I hear that the Heron clone is awesome, so much positive feedback, so it would be nice if FC would stock this because my Paps could use it ;-)

When the rest of us are short on spare shopping cash, we just live vicariously through G-Weezy because he is always shopping.

*** NEW ARRIVAL ***

Real talk, there is finally another 26650 that I might just be into .. FC just listed the "Helmsman" 26650 it is basically a large Nemesis, and I think it looks really good. I could do without the anchor engraving on the body, but the machining and body finish looks really good in the photos. And it comes with this really unique, but cool looking carrying case. Its like a foam bottle  ... I like this thing

Oh .. and its got huge copper contacts and a magnetic switch.

Nikki,

That case is just to knock people on the head with. The Hades came with one just like that and it gets the mod dirty with little particles.

Naw I just got tired of vaping couple days ago. I went into my room and sat down to build coils and just had that feeling. Tank after tank, drippers it got to the point were it was the same routine. Same flavor.

But......... I'm shopping. The only reason I don't one at a time, I hate waiting. I just want a table full of mail lol. Trust me I use them all. Each mod has a tank or a dripper with different flavors. I rotate them within 1 min of each other like taking shots at the bar.

.

it takes some control, the despair is part of the mod obsession, subconsciously your mind starts to dread another day of setting up 20 attys for no other reason but to do it. we either become horders or you come to a point like I did where you start to remember why your doing this and that no it isnt a hobby, nor should it be. ohh shiny syndrome grabs many people and leaves them wondering "what the ****am I doing!!".

3 or so years later I have sold off almost all of it, im down to a couple regulated and my fav couple of mechs and about 1/2 dozen attys.
becuase in the end while they are pretty to look at you realize how many different ways can they restyle the same tube with a button or oh look yet another 3 post dripper with a different cap and you move on.

besides I would rather spend my cash at home depot and guitar center, and occasionally buy vape gear when something catches my eye or seems better/different.

glad to read and see many positive experiences with focal though cant ever go wrong with another source for cheap gear. thanks to Nikki for the original post and test run :D

Oh God Weezy, you are the original "speed vaper" .. I totally relate to the feeling that you get sometimes, when you are just looking at your gear, and taking what feels like meaningless toots, and nothing is doing it for ya! But then I remember that there will be a great new release of something in the next day or two, and I am cured!

How is your back feeling these days? I hope you are getting back to your old self hon :)

Thrasher! Buddy where ya been? Me and you were the only two numbskulls who were down to give FC a shot in the beginning! :p Glad to see you resurface, and post here. :)

I got into the Taifun because of you, and your comparison of the FC Taifun and the authentic ... damn, now I am feeling all nostalgic

That sounds sweet to me! I will also be pairing my FOL w/a Taifun, now I just wish I had a drip tip with red accents to pull it all together. I saw a bunch of DT's that I like, but of course they are in China, so I won't have them by the time the FOL arrives

Speaking of the Taifun, since you are the resident expert what is the difference between Sku: 12627 and 18775? I have one that I picked up from a local B&M but need another one or 2.

Sku 18775 is the better of the two Taifun's, 1:1 build quality, so that is the one I would get. The other Taifun, based on the customer pics I have see of it, is not a 1:1.

Focal vape mail day, Heimdall sku 19649 is in hand

Picture first, sorry for the blurry box one :)

Ordered the Heimdall on the 1st of July, so arrived in 13 days, good turn around time :)

This Heimdall is a steal, paid just under $24 after discount, and the quality is awesome, the threads are buttery smooth, best threading out of the 11 mods I have, the engraving is prefect, the logo is not a deep engraving, but the cut outs on the locking ring are very deep, which helps with turning the locking ring, and the locking ring is only about half of turn to lock or unlock it, which I really like, quick easy locking or unlocking the fire switch. The throw on the switch is short and even though it is is a spring loaded fire switch, it is really smooth, no crunch to it at all. The Heimdall has a floating pin, so no problems with toppers being flush on it, also has adjustable pin for the battery, so no problems with battery rattle with it. The end caps are brass with silver plated brass contacts, so hits really well.

The turtle ship v2 from focal was my favorite mod, till the Heimdall turned up, only had it a little while, but right now I can not find any negatives to it at all, I am really amazed at the quality of it for the price, it gets full marks from me 10/10 :D

    Where is Drifter?

Drifting thru :D Sorry I haven't been posting lately :( Been a rough week at the shop last week. We hustled to get a large order out by Friday only to have our platers damage the parts when they shipped them back to us right before delivery to the customer. Parts were damaged enough to necessitate a rerun of that order, so quite a few extra hours went in last week :(

Good thing that came out of all of this is some extra money on the paycheck next week, now what to spend it on ??? LOL

Well, extra money can make up for a lot of things :D .. And since you have been working extra hard, hopefully you will treat yourself to something nice too. :)
