I took a comparison photo today while shooting my pics for review ... I am totally in love with this mod! I love the way it looks, I love the way it feels in my hand, and I love the way that it hits too! So much harder than my 4nine does. And I agree about the drip tip too, only thing is, it doesn't look right on a Kayfun, but it looks amazeballs on every dripper .. but I don't like drippers that much
I may eventually try to get one of those Kayfun customs caps that are flat across the top, so that I can use the DT too. We gotta do something about that top cap though, mine threads like butter, but those super fine threads are very easy to cross thread though.
For anyone who is into mechs, if you are not trying to get this mod, then you are completely nuts!

Finally got my long awaited nemmy! It's absolutely gorgeous. Had to buy two batteries, and they are charging now. Will update on performance once I get to use it. How do I tell the manufacturer?

Really? I find that the brushed brass 4nine that just showed up hits about equally on my 0.8 Fogger V4.3 as the Stingray X. But the Stingray does look nicer.... and I love the way that it hits too! So much harder than my 4nine does.

Doubt you'd be interested but that other place offers a few styles of replacement top cap for the Kayfun, one of which reminds me of the Tobh because it too has those radiator like fins. I think the drip tip that comes with the X would look pretty good on that.

Ok did you try the freezer, and then dropping it into very hot water? Does it look like its cross threaded? ... try leaving it in a cup of very hot water for 5 minutes. I am glad you still love (hard not to, so sexy), but damn, you need to get that top cap off.
What makes you think that? I am a FT customer too for the record, and those were the Kayfun caps I was referring to. ;-) ... I definitely feel like the X hits harder than the 4nine, which hits good for me, but not as good IMO. But without an actual voltage drop tests, its just a subjective opinion.
I did see a voltage drop test for the X, and its a .1 voltage drop.
I haven't tried hot water yet. Will do that tomorrow. It did not leave my hands long enough today to try it

Well, its good that it doesn't appear to be cross threaded, its probably some goop that has dried and sealed it ... happened to me with my Pisces switch, and I did the freezer, followed by dropping it in super hot water, and I got it free. When I got it apart, there was some dark sticky stuff between the switch and locking ring, and I guess that is what had it stuck.

Poor 4Nine...tossed aside like yesterday's newspaper...
So far, ok! Not as good as i was hoping. Spent a long time adjusting everything. Had it fall apart a few times when removing the battery/ changing modes. I'm chocking that up to an ID10T error though! lol. Running an AW IMR 18659 and an Efest 18350. Not bad either way. Win for Focalecig!
