Oh Nailzy darling, I was deffo thinking of you when I was looking at the pictures of the black. I like how the finish is done on the aluminum, rich, and matte. Yeah, just add it to your list love, I cannot see you resisting this one. ;-)

Haku my boo, unless something has changed with the design of the top cap, there should be a dual adjusting contacts, upper, and lower portion. The upper portion adjusts for the atty however, mine was very tight when I first got it, so I needed pliers to move it, but only the first time. Now I can adjust it by hand being that it has been loosened up.

You will notice that in the second photo, I removed the lower contact, and adjusted the upper contact out to fit the Taifun .. hope this helps dear

tried to unscrew that top pin, but it was very tight and i was afraid of scratching the reluctant top cap, so i preferred to ask. blind newbie, but prudent..
after one hour in the freeze and some pliers, it's ready to host the whole universe of atos. but the taifun will never lend its vela to any other, i'm afraid. they fell in love at the first sight. it's my best aesthetic combo now.

the switch is perfect. soft, smooth, silent, throw of about 1.5mm. tried magnets (10x6x2mm), but they don't fit this switch. it should be (<11) x (>7) x (<=2). for instance, 10 x 8 x 2, or 10 x 7.5 x 2 (i found those in the net). will try them when arrived and report. hope the switch keeps identical behavior with them, but corrects the slight wobbling. using 2mm thickness magnets, the throw will be lower than 1mm (if higher draw desired, try to find 1.5mm thickness in magnets).

i took another of my usual horrible improvised fast photos..

Edit: btw, removing the lower pin, it seems to hit harder (now i see you took measures to fit your batteries tight). big thanks!

And you are correct, I removed the pin for nipple top batteries, but I also agree with your findings, I do think that it hits harder without the lower pin as well .. I may try this with the Ember clone/Fire of life. My review for that is posted btw.

Nope, I was literally up all night, investigating, and then coercing Doris to move on getting that competition mod in stock for the US warehouse .. black, red, and copper are coming.

The Copper is will not be ready to ship by manufacturer until next week, but the aluminum black, and red are ready to ship. Doris ordered the Acerig Manhattan's w/o logos. While I was previously, and wholly uninterested in this mod, once I saw that deep red color? I think Nikki might have to get one

The only problem I see with the results is I was only going to get a copper Manhattan clone if FC got them in stock, but I now will also have to get a colored one also. Just have to decide will it be red or black.

Believe me ... I had to do a lot of talking VapeRoyalty was the only none Ebay vendor I could find that was selling it at the moment, so it would be crazy for them to not swoop in, and take advantage of that.

So soon my friend, you shall have the Manhattan mod that you wanted, but I do hope that the quality is there though ... fingers crossed.

I liked the look of the logo, but I am not a fan of the original company, so that had me rethinking the logo. I also don't want Doris to bring any trouble to herself so, I advised her to get no logos, but I'm not sure which one she went with.

I checked out the supplier you have found for the Manhattan clone and they look good to me.
The only question I have is do they supply the three 510 positive pins of different lengths like the ones that come with the authentic Manhattans. The different length pins are used so your atomizer will set flush on the topcap. These pins are solid and you make adjustments for different lengths of the 510 on atomizers by changing to a different length pin in the top cap on the mod.
One of the Ebay sellers stated his offerings did not have but one pin, but the supplier was making the other length pins and he would ship them out at a later date.

Oh wow .. I did read some speak about 510 pin lengths, and I forget to tell Doris to look into that .. I will ask her later when she comes on skype. Do you know who makes the one you saw on Ebay? I remember you mentioned Shenzhen Easter, but I looked into them, and they are a reseller, so there is no telling where the clone originally came from.
