It's a shame that they feel that way. Don't they know that the Chinese vendors that they're avoiding are who we (US & EU, their target market) get all our stuff from? So indirectly (or not), they'd end up selling more goods to their target market, if they just changed their attitude, and we'd get better stuff too (or not). Just sayin. But that's probably too logical for business, huh?

I agree completely cindy .. but you, like me, are intelligent, sane, and rational. Because really its a no brainer :glare:

That 4nine looks great in black :)

For the crunchy switch I found that sanding down the inside lip on the bottom of the mod where the button catches did wonders. Made the switch a lot smoother on mine ;)

Thanks for the tip, I'll have a look over the weekend, I've been messing with it all night and rather frustrated with it right now, got the upgraded switch and top cap, apart from the switch button being cleaner, I couldn't see any difference, on both the magnet kept unscrewing from the black plastic piece, so wouldn't fire, ended up loctite it in, but still doesn't fire well, sometimes won't fire at all, other times have to press really hard to get it to fire.

Meant to be my at work mod, but not going to risk taking it tonight, will stick with the stingray for tonight and mess with the 4nine over the weekend, hopefully can get it working smooth, as had high hopes for it.

What battery and length 510 pin are you using together hun?

Using 18650 vtc5 and fogger with adjustable pin, just measured the pin and it is 6mm from the base of the fogger, I do have 1 nipple top battery, but hadn't thought to try it till now.

Well try either the nipple top, or adjusting your Fogger pin out a little more. Something in the machining quality has changed? I never had any misfire issues, but I haven't had any of the issues that some others have complained about.

I hope you can work it hun because the black 4nine looks really good. :)

I've been using a Fogger V4.3 (the large deck version V4 not that I believe it matters) and the brass 4nine (with improved top cap, not that I'm using the 'improvement') from the focalecig group buy with Sony VTC5 and purple Efest 35 mah (which I'm told are rewrapped Sony VTC4) batteries without any problems. Didn't even bother to extend the Fogger 510 connector center pin beyond its as delivered position.

I also got the stainless steel group buy 4nine. Between the two, one required me to use the hole in the center of the switch to pop out the magnet. Once I cleaned up the glue residue in the hole I was able to reposition the magnet properly into the hole from its tilted delivered state. The other required some excess glue removal on the threaded brass insert on the battery spacer left over from the assembly. Both were simple and quickly fixed and both were apparent just from visually inspecting the non working mod. I'd assume that you'd catch similar problems so I'll just cross my fingers that you'll be able to resolve whatever issue that the mod has since I know that combo of mod and atty work.

The only thing that I can suggest is about the battery spacer magnet combo. The center magnet and brass sleeve is threaded so that you can adjust it a bit for size. When you're adjusting it, there are 2 things to be aware of. That you don't adjust the magnet too far towards the battery bottom that the corresponding rise on the switch no longer contacts the spacer. Or that you've adjusted too far towards the switch that the brass sleeve doesn't contact the battery bottom. I only offer this as a trouble issue for someone who's unaware that the spacer adjusts like that.

The focalecig Nemi (mini [14500/14650] Nemesis) arrived today. That's exactly one week from initial shipping from China to my house in New York. I don't think I've ever gotten anything that quickly. And the group buy price was nice.
    <snip>
(As an aside, anyone have a source for a 14650 battery suitable for vaping?)
    <snip>
My FC mini Nemi arrived at my local P.O. today, should be getting it tomorrow. Yay!

I don't think AW makes 14650's but you can get Efest IMR 14650's on eBay. I have 2 of those and they were fine for vaping, the ego e-power I was using them on not so much.

On a different note I spent what little free time I had yesterday re-wicking, burning (not on purpose), then re-wicking again with cotton/rayon. Gonna give XC-116 a try, ordered a foot of each to test. Does anyone have any build suggestions or hints for use on the Infinite KFL+?

That really blows Nelson, I am so sorry you have to deal with this crap! Can you file a postal claim and get reimbursed? .. DAYUM! .. But you did get your Stingray X today, so there was some light at the end of the tunnel. Isn't she beautiful? OMG, it is for sure more beautiful than the black copper SR

I am vaping her right now with that sexy Mephisto RDA .. the X looks so good with the Mephisto and DT  So when are you moving back to the states the darling?

Mornin' Nik, just checked tracking again and it has updated. it's still in Mississauga but, it says its been processed now :) phewwwww ;) and yes the SRX is awesome! love the updated switch, so much better than older version. smooth and NO wobble, bonus!!!

you know Nikki, I have wanted to move back for years! so sick of seasons, I want sun and only sun LOL. Florida sounds good, I have always lover florida! well, until hurricane season hahaha. one day dear, one day :)

You're going to like the Nemi. Love it if you like bright and shiny. I really do like the look of the gold plating on it. I think it looks better than the brass accents on another stainless steel Nemesis. And it doesn't require a weekly polish to stay bright either.

I don't like buying batteries from eBay; or China either. Way too many stories of fakes from those sources. While I'm perfectly happy getting mods and atomizers and drip tips from those sources I will stick to domestic vendors for my batteries. But thanks. At least it gives me a specific battery to Google for as opposed to just 14650 IMR.

Never used readywick. The Vapor Joe's Saturday video chat, Mod Envy, talks about it weekly. They have a giveaway of a half foot of the two different sizes and a 30ml of juice. Give away 3 of those. The only info of note is that the wick is so durable it will outlast a coil. Just rinse it off and wick a new coil. They did say that the 2mm was better for a Kayfun than the larger 3mm size.

Already charged up the batteries for the Nemi :)

Normally I would agree about the whole eBay battery thing, but I didn't think that size was popular enough to make counterfeiting profitable. I think smoktek stocks them and would be a better vendor anyway.

Thanks for the Kayfun tip, that prevents me from wasting a piece of 3mm experimenting.

i was going to order the stingray x clone from focalecig but the cart wont update, have to go to checkout after selecting the item, then when selecting my country the price goes to 0 and there is only a continue shopping button and the cart is empty if i continue shopping.....

If you're trying to order the SXK SRX from the US warehouse (SKU: 14031), it appears to be out of stock at the moment. Have you tried ordering the China one (SKU: 20010)?

Ugh, I was only able to figure that out from the USA Warehouse thumbnail. :?:

Honestly, I wouldn't really recommend using xc116 in a KFL, because its a dense wick, and works best with atties that consistently expose the wick to eliquid, like a Taifun, a Genesis, or a dripper. If you decide to try it any way, I would not use the same amount as you would for a silica wick, and I would also recommend intentionally fraying the ends to help with faster wicking. In a Kayfun style it will do better with a thinner eliquid, 50% VG or less.

XC116 does not unravel like silica and ekowool, so you can control the fraying better ..

Has anyone ordered the Aquilo from focal?

Really want to order one to match the windrose I have just dont know if I will like a genny
    tank...

Nope .. Doubt I will order it, it looks good, but I have enough Gennies at the moment. And Tamer there is only one way to find out if you will like a Genny ;-) ... They are not pocket vapes, better for at home use because they need to stay upright. The greatest benefit of a Genesis is the superior flavor ...

Oh I am so happy that your Akuma is finally moving again, and I hope it a really good mod after all of this wait.

So Nelson, you are American? I remember you said that you had family here, but I still thought that you were native Canadian. I completely relate to what you are saying about the Canadian weather, it was worse for me when I was there because I was in Alberta  6 months of Winter beginning in October

I hope that you are able to get back to the US sooner, rather than later :)

That is a good point to make about xc116, my recommendations is based on the 3mm that I have. :)
