Whoop der it is!

People ... peeeple, all I can say is you really want to touch this Red one. My God, I was shocked, I had no idea that an anodized aluminum tube could feel like brushed silk, and I swear on my life that this is what is feels like ... Sensual is the word the comes to mind, seriously. I was just telling Portertown via pm that I don't want to use it out of fear that its going to get dirty and loose this luxurious, soft, silky feel that it has.
Now, I haven't used it yet, but I will definitely be washing my hands before I do

The threads are so smooth on both the Red and Copper. The Copper showed up with a variety of tarnished spots, so I cleaned it up some some Heinz ketchup before I took the pics of it outside of the package. In the first photo of the Copper you can see the tarnish, which was heavier around the button ... much heavier. After I cleaned it up, it still looked stained only on that one area, so I took some 1000 grit to it because those stains needed to get the hell off my mod
That is just the nature of Copper that is shipped from half way around the world, unless they are clear coated, it is very likely that most of them will need to be polished up out of the box .. but the Red is perfection to me

The Copper is much heavier than the Aluminum which in spite of the thick tubes, feels light, but that is to be expected. I disassembled the Copper switch only, and the magnets are hella thick and hella strong. Sorry that I forgot to capture the switch taken to to bits, but you can see that in my review when its done.
You can't see this but just as I was typing, my baggie of spare pins fell through the crack of my sofa

NOOOOO, not the sofa crack! I lost some skin on my forearm, but I got the pins back

True story

... Ok, as you already should know, the throw is long and the switch does have a firm press, but it is nothing that isn't manageable. I suspect that with a battery and atty attached, the throw will feel shorter as it should. It you get the Copper, definitely clean up your switch out of the box .. there were several boogers in mine

The switch feels smoother, and lighter somehow on the Red ... Did I mention that the Red is sexy as all HAIL?

It sooooo did not disappoint me.
The true test will be performance, and like I said, I haven't used them yet. I only inspected all parts, played with the switches, cleaned the Copper one, and petted the Red one with my long lady fingers over and over and overrrrrrrr ... after I washed my hands of course.

FYI the Red is actually a bit darker in person than in the pics ... And I blew through the Copper with the switch installed and top cap off and there is a ton of undeniable air coming through that switch, so it does have proper venting.
