Heya folks, new to the thread ;)

I sampled a few pages, just to see if I couldn't get the gist of it, but I'm still a bit thrown by all the neato bling shots, etc. So here is my question:

Is Focalecig better than FT or not? Which ships faster? Which is more accurate in actually shipping you what they say they have in stock (don't ask)?

Thanks in advance,

Vaper hungry for a copper Akuma clone + copper contacts + magnets (but I like the looks of the steampunk mech too and Focal at least includes photos of the switch disassembled!)

Hi and welcome. I would go to Focale 10 out of 10 times compared to FT if i was shopping from a china website. The customer service is much better, shipping is faster for the most part (anything from overseas is going to take some time) and they have a USA warehouse that has a few things. They are currently building that up. And of course shipping from there is just like any other instate vendor.
My two cents!
Plus all the cool people hang out here...LOL :)

FT has been pretty speedy with my orders lately but I'm getting tired of sending half of each order back to them. My last order took two days to process, two days to hit L.A., it blew through customs like they weren't even there, then it spent ANOTHER four days floating around my home state before it reached my doorstep ~sigh~

I guess that's the price of trying to save some money!

I do like how FT is doing a bunch of "1:1" variations and I'm quite pleased with my last couple of Tohb Attys I got from them. But lately it never seems to fail... it might look good in their photos, read good in the description, but then I receive an even cheaper substitute because they ran out of stock! Couldn't they just put up a "Out of Stock" sticker on a SKU??? Sorry. /RANT MODE OFF I recently dealt with a US vendor that was no different.

So the shipping time I can deal with. What I would like to find is a Chinese vendor that will actually ship me what the photos show and the description *describes*. If they run out of stock and change to a different manufacturer all it would take is an email saying something like "Here is the deal... do you still want it?" I'd pay a premium for that small service.

Is this FT v2 the vendor I've been looking for?

Well I can't think of one time where focale has ever changed a vendor but kept the same pictures up and what you see is not what you get. Others may know different or had different experiences though. And from my experience, it is either in stock or not. No restocking 10-14 days kind of stuff. I have bought several things from them and have been very happy.
Worth a shot? I vote yes :)

Hmm .. both companies have their pro's and con's .. What people seem to like about FC is that it is not quite as difficult to get a new release because FC is not as bombarded as FT can be with orders. And the service, FC has a slightly more homey feel. And like Crocky said we are a cool bunch. :D

With regards to the Akuma, I didn't think that FC's version came with the magnet and the spring, but I could be wrong. Just double check on that before you check out.

That's weird, I can see it...perhaps for my eyes only....lol. Seriously though it is about as safe as they come. I had something else I. Was going to post but thought better of it :p
Let's try it again

I feel your pain, I was stalking tracking till my blue hanaa turned up, but the wait was worth it though ;)

In other news, seems like my Orchid is toast after my mod firing because didn't lock it and burnt the insulator, thought it was still ok, and has worked fine for 2 days, but now all I get is burnt hits, tried re-wicking it 3 times and recoiled it once, and still burnt hits, so I have given up on it now :(
Sorry to hear about your Orchid. I was re-wicking mine tonight and looked at that insulator, it seems to be a fairly standard round lipped insulator. A lot of drippers use that type on the center post, somebody must sell them. If you have any old Protank heads the center pin insulator might work if you cut the small lip off. All that is assuming the center post can be disassemble without trashing the unit.

Plan B is to use this as an excuse to order a V3, or wait a couple of weeks to see if the V4 comes out.

Have you widened the steam tube against gurgling and up coming liquid-condensated water?

I like the taste of the Heron too. I don`t have a rose, but the taste is better than any of my Kayfuns/Taifuns/FeVs/Squapes/Aquas..... . But it`s not my no1 because it`s not airy enough for me. I already widened the air holes, but I could need a bit more air.

no, I haven't had to widen the chimney, very rarely do I get and build up or spit back. lucky I guess. I did however mod one of mine to make it much airier :)

Nelson, didn't you know? I am Magic  I felt a little resistance at about half way in, but I think that is the anodizing on the threads. I didn't have to force it, but I applied some gentle pressure to it. ;-) I am running it with the 510 adapter right now, I am a little nervous about vaping it in hybrid mode, just in case there is any leakage. Which there isn't so far ...
I got mine to screw down all the way but, I had to put the spring back in that came with the clone. the authentic is just to beefy and wouldn't compress enough I guess. glad to hear you're liking the Heron, I knew you would ;) just so easy to build/wick and fill! love them little buggers...

I've seen a few people comment on making a replacement insulator out of an old credit card. Never tried that myself, just offered as potentially helpful.

So I recently got the SXK Stingray X as well as some replacement parts for my 4nine. The order is over $20 so even though I didn't pay for it, I have an LN # CN tracking number on my account. I ordered the 24th around noon Texas time, and Emailed Doris on the 29th as it was still "Collecting Products" and my last order froze up and was "lost in the warehouse" for a week and a half. Anyways she responded on the 29th that it would be shipped in a few hours, and on the 30th responded again to say it had shipped on the 29th but the tracking number didn't update till the 30th, and gave me my tracking number.

From my past 4-5 orders, as soon as I get a tracking number within like 10 hours I can track on 17track as being accepted by Shenzhen postal, or even then being able to see that the tracking number is registered. USPS only seems to recognize the package once it's in the states.

Anyways I'm just wondering if you guys have ever gotten a package with a tracking number which would never update tracking. Considering Doris told me it shipped and gave me a number, I would think even with really really slow shipping it would be in the system after 3 days. Well, hopefully I get it around the 7th or 8th :p

Don't know about that, the idea of giving my atty its own credit card scares me. Nikki would find a way to make it buy something.
