no, I haven't had to widen the chimney, very rarely do I get and build up or spit back. lucky I guess. I did however mod one of mine to make it much airier :)

You should send that one to me Nelson, you don't need it! The vape on the GP Heron is very yummy .. vaped it all last night and this morning. While the air draw is much tighter than the Rose, I don't mind it really. I figure what is the point of having different atomizers if I am not going to embrace the different vape experience that I have with them. :)

I need to put the same eliquid in the GP and Rose and vape them side by side to really determine which it better .. I will at least give the throat hit advantage to the Rose. But I still need to do a battle of the flavor makers though :p

There is a tiny bit of gurgle, but no condensed water coming up ..

I got mine to screw down all the way but, I had to put the spring back in that came with the clone. the authentic is just to beefy and wouldn't compress enough I guess. glad to hear you're liking the Heron, I knew you would ;) just so easy to build/wick and fill! love them little buggers...

Aha, well that makes sense Nelson :) .. The GP Heron is so incredibly easy to build and wick. I have some polyfill and was gonna try a spheriod style build but I don't know if its worth it? Have you tried it this way Nelson?

Rebuilt and rewicked my KFL+v2 and came across an interesting issue.

The center pin has loosened on me causing the top part go slide around. luckily enough I caught it before it shorted on me. Is there a way to tighten this down enough that the pin wont loosen up, and that the pin will extend slightly past the 510 threading?

Afaik KFLs don`t have an adjustable center screw. The screw holds the positive pole in position and therefor the screw has to be screwed on tightly.

I never tried it with filler material. At the moment I use Muji cotton for the coil and a separate Muji rope from the tank and it is yummy too. My 0,75 Ohm coil gets enough liquid even with fully charged cells ( >21 watt). I like it very much. Btw: Gurgling increases with the wattage (>14 watt )

Nikki have you ever tried an Eleaf Lemo? That`s a throat hit killer, tasty too and with a nice look.

Like Rudi said, you have to tighten that center pin completely to keep it from moving, this has happened to me with my 3.1 and it did short out too .. I believe it was Haku who modded his center pin to increase the length by putting a tiny o ring around the pin before screwing it back in, which made it stick out a little further.

Haven't tried it myself so ...

Dang, I go away for 4 days last weekend on a short vacation, and it takes me 4 days once I get back to get to the end of the thread.

Also like "Snake Eyes" for Eleven. Doris should just change her online name for her, I'm SURE Eleven is not her real name.

Well back to my lurking :D

Thanks for the notes Rudi, I agree this Heron is such a yummy vape :D .. I haven't tried the Eleaf Lemo but our dear Nailz just got one like two weeks ago. I like the glass tank so it is a consideration. At what resistance are you vaping yours?

Now that you are done with your homework assignment, its nice to see you back Burnie my darling boo  I am gonna ask Doris what Eleven's real name is, although I am sure it is something that we will not be able to pronounce.

Doris told me that when she was just a Wallbuy's intern that she used the name Echo ... Now what made her choose the name Doris over Echo for FC is totally beyond me. She went from a cute and sexy name, to an old and outdated name  But I call her Bird anyway :p

The Ohms go down and the wattage up. Half a year ago I choose resitances between 1 and 1.3 Ohms, but now I use lower restistances. The Lemo can easily be set up for 25 Watt and more, but I build it with 0.8 Ohm ~14-20 watt on mech. mods. I gave it to a friend who needed it immediately when it was sold out. I will order 2 new Lemos soon.

I recommanded Lemo, eXpromizer and Vapor giant to Doris. Vapor Giant seems to have some tradmark issues and the eXpromizer 1.1 already arrived next door ;) and the Lemo is not very expensive in the western world.

There are certain Kayfun lite + and + V2 clones that have adjustable 510 connector center posts. The ones Artemus sells from custommodcreations.com are adjustable. For this reason alone I like them. I thought the $30 Infinite version of the + V2 that focalecig sells was another that was adjustable. Am I wrong?

It's adjustable in that it unscrews, but you do have to pad it with something (like an o-ring) if you want it to stick out more. Then you can't make it stick out by much, because you'd still have to catch some threads when you screw it back in.

I talked my friend QRXT into buying one - she ordered the copper KFL V3 from Custom Mod Creations and it was a disaster, so she returned that and bought this - only to find out that the post was near flush, so I had to play with mine so we could get hers to work (she has an XXIX, hybrid only).

I do like the eleaf lemo, big tank which is glass and massive air flow, but has one really big con to it, the air control ring is just way to loose, it is frustrating to get it set where you like it, but then when unscrew base to fill it and screw back on it moves, I actually put mine up for now, as for peed off keep dialing in where I liked the air flow, for it only to move again. Hopefully this is something they will address in a future version, because apart from that, it is a really good tank.

I decided to Google it. Its the EHPro versions that have the adjustable center pin and some Russian 91% also. You're not the first who's said that a black edition Kayfun from Artemus was horrible. I just got another one a week ago, copper V3, and its perfect. Wonder if there's a quality control issue with whatever factory he's contacted to make his version? Because honestly, the V2 and V3 versions (2 of each) I have are nice, nicer than an original I'd say.

Aw, bummer. You were so excited about that one too. You need to just put a little bubble gum under the AFC ring.

No big deal, I could probably fix it, but got so many toppers, been to lazy to bother, and now got the squape r coming, it will probably just sit on a device looking pretty till one day I decide to mess with it, think I will get it set where I like the air flow, and then just loctite it, so it doesn't move ;)

The 3.1 has an adjustable center screw, but the design is different. A post with air holes holds the positive pole and the center screw is screwed into this post. The post in the 3.1 is wider than the inner diameter of a 510. In case of a 3.1 it is easy to position this post, because you can take the 510 cap off. A KFL doesn`t have this 510 cap and so the post must be installed through the 510, but the inner diameter is too small for a solid/stable post. So a KFL with adjustable center screw would need a complete different design. I haven`t seen one.

Sanding down the 510 a little bit or using a very small isolator washer could be other possibilities.

The first big problem with hers was that the insides were copper - the site said it would be all SS inside. We were expecting it to look like the rose gold KFL with better plating, but nope, all copper inside and out. Then there were problems with the posts (and something else I don't remember now), so I finally just suggested she return it. Too many issues.
