I wish I could find a good tutorial on how to install a dna 30 board to a ZNA body .. if anyone should happen across one, please let me know :)

I hope your Hanna is not about to take a crap on you, based on what you said though I would also be concerned. Did anyone see that epically ugly KSD 60W box mod that FT put up today? It has a rhino on it  And those buttons look so cheap too.

I also slightly disappointed in the finish on the Cloupor T6 and T8, although I am getting a T6. It doesn't have the same smooth, gloss aluminum finish that I have on my Cloupor Cana. I really like that finish.
Not the ugliest mod I've ever seen, but even by my standards it's on the homely side. It is also unnecessarily large for a single 18650 device.

Speaking of size, that SMY 180W on the same page is HUGE. Not the prettiest thing either. Looks like it uses three 18650's in series, that's 12.6 volts fully charged, the same as a car battery. How long before they come out with a backpack mod using a car battery? Hey there's an idea, just take the head off the 180W mod and duct tape a set of jumper cables to it. :D

Thanks! I can't figure out how to get the deck off. Google is getting ready to be my friend. :)

The ematal one? I had to use a rubber grippy for taking lids off jars. It also involved a lot of cussing. I followed Busardo's advice of lubing it with e liquid when I put it back on so I'm hoping it won't be as bad next time I pull it off.

Getting the deck off is pretty hard, but guess you don't want it loose either though, think I am set with the 'w' deck now, so doubt I will take it off again, but if I do, I will do what roxy suggested and put juice around the deck before installing.

Damn FT even doing new releases on a Sunday now, and now got the erl with different colored tanks, FC need to get there erl soon, I was tempted by the colored ones from FT, but they are still plastic and plan to buy a glass tank for it anyway, so I will wait a bit longer for FC to get it.

I actually like the God mod, no way I need that much power, but I do like the look of it, looks different to all the other boxes out there, and the battery life will be awesome, but it is to expensive for my budget, also has a 'ships in 15 days', can bet after 15 days it will go to re-stocking, bet people be waiting 6-8 weeks to get one, and can order it stateside for close to what they are charging for it anyway.

You see, I am rubbing off on you! And you tease about having off color tastes, your set ups are all nice silly! :p But yeah, that KSD box is homely looking, perfect word to describe it!

The God Mod also does not look as nice as the early promo photos of it did. I have seen a vendor review video for it, and its not really attractive at all IMO, and has several elements that cheapen it. I also have a huge issue with the fact that there are no battery vent holes in a 180W device that holds 3 18650 batteries ... that is unacceptable, and I cannot believe that there are interested consumers who are overlooking this fact.

SMY gave some crap about having heat sink ribbing on the interior of the box to dissipate heat  What the hail is heat sink gonna do for you in the midst of thermal runaway? Not much in my opinion :glare:

But overall the market gets that SMY's God Mod is not one to jump on, it is essentially an early failure in the market, and that is why FT is now selling before it ever hit mainstream distribution. Not mention that FT is selling it for less than SMY's original wholesale asking price ... this is what happens when a unknown manufacturer attempts to push an unproven device with no known track record at a high premium.

My FC Squape R arrived yesterday, haven't had a chance to try it yet but I am curious about the "ematal" coating, the deck and chimney do look to have some sort of coating on them but is it really ematal or at least a non conductive coating? I would like to know as if it is not non conductive I will only use it on VW device so I don't possibly get a short on a mechanical.

    Thanks :)

You should check any topper with a ohm reader before putting on a mechanical, doesn't matter if has non conductive deck or not, things can still happen.

The coating is non-conductive, but I have had a short reading once on one of my builds, and don't know why I had it, but just re-did the coil, and then was ok again.

When ever I re-wick a topper, I wash it out, then put on ohm reader to make sure it is reading ok, once checked I put on mod, dry burn the coils, then rewick and fill up, then I re-check on ohm reading before putting on my mod to vape.

Considering all the problems I had, I would use regulated until you know any issues are taken care of first.

That happened to me as well (short). I think the coil may have been touching the edge of a post screw.

The part I can't handle is the size. If I read the dimensions correctly it's a little bigger than three mechs strapped together side by side in 18650 + kick mode.

With three 650's being pushed hard I don't think vent holes would make much difference if things go south. It will make its own holes in short order. :D

Thank you for the very fast reply, much appreciated! :)

I was more nervous with the Squape over most other atties as it seems the coil will be sitting very close to the metal on the deck and I am quite clumsy and have been known to knock over mods a few times which could possibly result in the coil shifting and contacting the deck. The coating would just provide some (even if minimal) protection against a short, I hope!

I cant wait to try it out :vapor:

Thank you again for the quick reply. :)
