Ugh, I have done that before .. picked up a mech to vape it and hardly any vapor is coming out of my once stellar set up, and I do everything from look at it funny, to shaking it, yet some how it would be like 20 mins before it dawned on me that my battery needed to be recharged

Pull the battery and put it on charger, and it takes what seems like a year for the first bar on the charger to even light up The poor battery was so over drained

Wanted to post this before but forgot... To the person mentioning the Fat Daddy vape donuts...

Over in the Fogger V4 thread (don't remember which, there are 2 huge threads, try both and just search for donut) one of the regulars to that thread not only posts about the Fogger V4 but also other "super" atomizers, those touted as a "kayfun killer" like the Orchid, etc or great cloud chasers, etc. Anywho, he's used and likes them, claiming really good results. I didn't follow his posts too closely because they were mostly about atomizers I wasn't interested in, but I do remember him saying they worked well which was counter to most other reactions I've seen about them. He seems to be a good builder so here's what I semi remember, if its intriguing check out the thread. It was in a dual coil designed atomizer, perhaps a 26650 sized version. He used rayon as the wicking material. Perhaps because of the size (26650 version) or being designed for dual coils, he manages to wick both sides of each donut. As I say this it might be the huge rayon as a wicking material thread so you might have to hunt 3 threads. User name is AMDTrucking I believe I've gotten it correct.

I've seen a few of the cloned renditions of it on Alibaba, looks more like a glas style engraved tube with cheap switches and top caps. Have you managed to find a higher quality version of one ?

I saw one, but I think they cheated and used OG pics...
Then there were the janky ones like FT has, and others that won't show pics of the inside side of the switch at all.
But a decent one with all three tubes would be nice.

Bopslinger: I meant to quote your post but failed. Here is my response about charging.
I don't think any mods with parallel batteries do any balanced charging. They usually just use the same usb charger used for single 18650 batteries. I think they all recommend you use paired cells to avoid problems. As I understand it, there is less of a problem with unbalanced cells in a parallel configuration than in series. The batteries tend to charge one another and stay balanced. If one cell is old and tired it could over discharge a good cell and then you would have two bad cells.
I am more concerned about what happens if you put one of the batteries in backwards. That is a real bomb. Both cells will pour their current into each other. I hope that everyone uses fuses in devices with parallel cells.
Series cells are another matter. The basic usb chargers don't work. I hope they use a balanced charger. I haven't researched them so I don't know. I think that most of them don't have a charger and just assume you will swap out the batteries.

...I wonder what they put in the switch in place of the sapphire crystal...I've only seen it in 650 mode. Have you seen it anywhere in 490/500?

I didn't look at the detailed specs, I was focused on another product, and I am not all that interested in any mechs. Although from what I saw the clone is very attractive and sleek looking, and I know that Drifter is a fan so he was the first person I thought of.

I had to dump Lareina on this one, they are only in the discussion phase for the Zero clone .. however, Yosen appears to be further along, and I am all about it right now.

I'm just dropping in to see what experience you've all had with Focal's ksd hana clones.

I'm more interested in the mini but I would like to hear what you all think of the standard too. It's been difficult to find reviews of the ksd clones in english.

I am worried most about chip performance, durability and build quality. I could care less about aesthetics.

Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks!

Just search through the thread here, a number of us got them somewhat recently (believe that they were first offered in the June time frame) through the group buy focalecig was offering. But they'll all be comments on the full sized units. But overwhelming positive. I like mine although I'm underwhelmed by the little clicky fire button but that's a pretty common complaint about them regardless of manufacturer. The button works, its just that I'd prefer something more substantial. The mini is new enough that unless somebody paid an additional shipping fee approximately as much as the cost of the unit they wouldn't have received it yet.

Thanks! I'm willing to live with the clicky button on the mini if everything else is basically functional. I just want an out and about cheapy that functions without issues. finding a functional mini among the ft clones is like winning the lottery from what I've been reading.

Hello yourself. I can only echo bsoplinger .. I don't have one personally, but all of the feedback on the full size has been positive. The mini, the verdict is still out .. All I can say is that they came from the same factory, and they have the same chip as the full size version.

Thank you Nikki! I'm loving the Tesla Orchid set up as well. I am surprised at the vape quality of an atty that big but it's great! The huge Kayfun was a huge disappointment! I'm also finding that because I use as close to 100%VG as I can get that the Rose gunks up really fast on a 26650 mod. I am leaving it on the Paps for the moment and it's doing a lot better. I left out the rest of the mods for when I hit the magic 20 It might even be today if I get the scheduled vape mail. You can't prove I bought more mods on restriction...sshhhh
