This is the one with a wood body that's hidden by an outer cover? If so the original ones have some beautiful cover options. It'd be nice if the clone offered some of those but even the default plain cover has a nice look to it.

My turn to say don't get mad... I think its an age thing. As you can tell from my questions about sending a video and YouTube those aren't things I normally do, but I'm over 50 so maybe I have an excuse. I didn't and I'm sure nobody else read "the fine print" that states that they want photos or video proof of any problem if asking to return. And the request for proof of it doesn't work or fit seem as silly to me as they did to you from the way you wrote to Doris. But since they did state its what's required I'll do it but I'll also let them know that I don't have to do that with other sites and will keep their return policy in mind for future purchases. Now things like "it got scratches all over when it arrived" I could understand. Or some sort of odd behavior etc. But requiring proof of a negative, just silly.

Speaking of silly, I'm now 1 day short of 2 weeks wait on a purchase being packaged up and shipped that contained a "ships in 2 to 7" days item. That's getting as bad as fasttech, which is a real shame because I truly feel at least some of the people at focalecig care about providing a decent product and decent shopping experience.

Would that be the Hana mini?

:)

There's a couple of folks in the T6 thread in the VV/VW sub noting that the box is grossly inaccurate or underpowered. Could be a couple of wonky units. Really small sample size out there right now. I'm sure you'll give the thing a rigorous workout. I'd be interested to hear if you experience this:

I was just about to post "Bow chika wow wow" my Cloupor T6 will be delivered tomorrow  I haven't read any feedback here on ECF, just the one thread on the other forum and it was only one person who posted about it .. Well, I shall soon find out what the real deal is. Like you said, it could be the case of a few crap units (they always happen) or it could be genuine God Mod level garbage

I have some faith in Cloupor being that I have two devices with their chips and no issues. I will however be staying away from any firmware updates. :p

@bsoplinger,

If I lived close to ya I would be over there video recording, caliper measuring, and HD uploads with you to help you out.

I know age makes a difference but you can learn. I taught an older gentlemen in his 70's how to change icons, weather animation tweaks on his iPhone through email and FaceTime.

Take it one step: make an account on YouTube.
On your phone take the video.
Open YouTube app and go to your name. It'll say upload video somewhere.
Hit that and it will open your video section up on your phone. Go ahead and upload it.
Once that is done name it to whatever you want to call it. Just take it step by step.
Then there's a share link code like uploading picture codes. Copy that and send that link to them.

Once you get the hang of it you'll do plenty more I'm sure. ;)

What do you guys think of the Gizmo mod? I'm kind of liking it but $175 is a bit steep for me. I found one coming out of China but they have changed it to a 18350 so I don't think I'll bite.

http://www.naturevape.co.uk/store/#!/Gizmo/c/10099039/offset=0&sort=normal

I'd like to have a black 24mm Gizmo to use with my black Lemo. I've seen a few Gizmos come through the classifieds but none with that particular configuration. Would be about $150 to my door for a new one. Maybe a Christmas present to myself.

Or you could just send the resulting video file that your phone created, right?

I think on the Galaxy, there's a separate app to record movies/video, right next to the camera to snap pictures. You use that, then just hit the big middle button to record and stop (you'll know you're recording because there's a timer on the corner). As soon as you stop, the resulting video gets stored in a folder somewhere in your phone (on my dead dumb phone it was "My Stuff" > "Video"). Click on the file, and I think on that phone, there's an option to email the file directly from there. (My dumb phone didn't do that. I had to send it via bluetooth to my computer, then send the file.) I think most newer point-n-shoot cameras can record video as well. Then you'd just have to transfer the file to your computer and send from there. What's hard is shooting the video and demo-ing the defect, unless you have a helper or a tripod.

haha and I'm over 50 too!

ok,heres for the over 50's too,like myself.
on an android phone,
go to camera
turn on the video record, little bar on bottom with reg camera and video camera
start video
when you stop it there will be a little screen on bottom left
click on it so your video pops up in your phone
touch screen anywhere but where the arrow is and a menu will come down from the top
click on the email icon and it will open your email with video attached to it
just fill out who the receiver is and send...
done

Well thanks but I won't have any trouble doing it myself even if it isn't something that I do normally. The point I was attempting to make, and obviously didn't :), was that I'd never conceive that I'd need do such a thing if I had a bad product. Taking a picture of scratches, makes sense, they're obviously there, although when they got made could be of issue. But take my robbot ZNA clone issues. Do they really expect me to force a perfectly good battery into a too small tube and rip its wrapping just to prove the tube is too small? Or the idea of showing the non working main body. I could just as easily put a dead battery in. In neither case would my video be of any use because they could easily determine the validity of the issue once they got the return. And because it is so obvious how to fake such a thing it should be just as obvious that asking for it accomplishes nothing. Other than adding an onerous step that will discourage people from making a claim.

Its just the mindset behind the requirement. I don't fit the GenX and younger shopper they're thinking they're dealing with ;) I'm one of the last of the boomers.

Try it. It's fun! :thumb:

Do your birds do tricks?

Only thing is, if you have your resolution set too high, those files can get pretty big.

Yes, many people have asked me to take videos of the birds. First, I had a very old camera that slowly died. Then my desktop died. And, oh yeah, that smartphone...I'm glad I figured out how to set up email and get on the internet :D. I'm trying, I am. And I haven't replaced things because I'm on disability now due to chronic pancreatitis. Not smoking will hopefully help my health. But new computers and cameras get put on hold due to medical bills. Hopefully soon :)

I guess they're just a little more trusting than/not as devious as you. No need to force the battery in - just show that there's no way that sucker is gonna fit in there. I don't think it's them - it's the manufacturer wanting the proof from the end user. Yeah we're older (I'm probably not as old as you though  ), but sometimes we have to adapt and learn new things, to keep up with the times. This isn't the first time I've seen this policy, so I've just learned to get used to it. That's one of the downfalls of the convenience of shopping online sometimes, and saving lots of money. It's not like they have a Returns Desk that you can walk up to, to show them what the problem is. Just sayin'...

I know how that is. Got laid off in 2008, then had to take care of my dad, then my mom, now NOBODY will hire me because I've been out of work for so long. Dad passed last year, so I've been living off inheritance money, which runs out by the end of this year. So yeah, no porn from me for awhile!

But hey, you have a smart phone! You should go to town and do stuff with it! :thumb:
