Focalecig ... A new Fasttech??

I've been thinking of the Group buy one, but only if I can upgrade the switch. What would be a good switch to put in there? I'm pretty good at soldering onto connectors, but I completely suck at circuit boards, so it would have to be a simple pull-the old-one/attach-the-new-one kind of thing (same number of soldering points on the switch). Any of the anti-vandal ones, maybe?

There's the DNA35, but the dang switch they put into that one is just WAY too big. Cutout's probably too big for a smaller switch too. Too bad. And I'm still keeping both my kidneys, so the nicer VV/VW mods are out. Plus, I'm just looking for something to park my KFL on, so nothing fancy.

I ordered a 12mm button for mine. Like this:

The ring lights up blue (I ordered a blue box). I also ordered a black anodized one w/o lighting. I'm pretty sure you need to drill out the box to fit. Not sure if I'll tap or just use the nut to keep it in place. If you need help drilling out the fire button, let me know. I just got a fancy new drill press .

Well decided to not wait on Doris to think about stocking the Billet Box Clone, so I ordered it off Flea Bay, Only $58.85 and it says it will ship today and I will have it Tuesday 18th. If I like it, I might get another, if FC at some point gets it in stock. My CC was starting to burn and needed use.

Both from the same seller, coming from Singapore but it's under $3 ea and I'm in no hurry since I don't even have the Hana clone yet. It should fit fine but the box needs the hot glue cleaned off and the hole has to be drilled out. I might need to completely rearrange the internals depending on how they set everything.

This set up has reignited my love the Taifun because it does look so sexy with the Zero Its crazy how the Taifun is still as tall as your average RBA even in nano made I am thinking about getting another one, so I need to take a closer look at the GT-S because I saw them, but didn't really look it over.

How are you filling the Taifun in nano mod? Seems like if you fill it the way it was designed to be filled but with the nano tank/topcap you would get barley any juice in it. I'm guessing the kayfun top cap fill method will work.

Make sure that your top cap is screwed on all the way. When I first got mine, every other day I would seem to have to press the firing switch extra hard, but then I realized that my cap had unscrewed by just a hair, less than a 1/4 turn. Since realizing that I haven't had any issues since.

So check that first .. if the issue is not resolved by that then I would contact CS

Just a fair warning..The inside of the box at the top corner near the switch requires some grinding due to the curvature. The nut for the switch will not sit flush and tighten down on the larger switch. Doesn't need much. You should have no problem if you just put a grinding bit on your drill press and just raise the curve a little.

I got all my switches from Mouser. I'm also going with a 12mm for the fire button. I will say, getting to just your switches may not be easy due to all the hot glue.

Probably easier with my Dremel. I'll probably use it for a few days before I start messing with it. I'm expecting to completely gut it, mod it and then rewire it so it isn't so cluttered inside. Might end up with a DNA 40 after I'm done .

Either freeze it and chip away with a flat head screwdriver or soldering iron.

No its not bad, just head scratching ... If you recall when you first sent me the link for the Zero there was the sandblast and black smooth finish in Yosen's photos. When I ordered the samples I asked for one sandblast and one black but they told me that they black was not ready so I go two sandblast instead.

Fast forward to last week and Yosen posts that their sleeves are ready and show a pic of the black carbon fiber sleeve, so I assumed that the smooth black finish was scrapped. Asked Yosen to send me a gray and gold sleeve, then late last week they say that only silver and black are ready and they would send those. I ASSUMED that they were sending black carbon fiber because that is what the recent pictures show .. I didn't bother to clarify.

Open up the package and its a smooth glossy black Special Edition sleeve?? I don't really mind at all, beggers can't be choosey but I am just confused now. Why wasn't this black glossy Special Edition sleeve shown in photos? Did they send me rejected leftovers because they are free for review?

Other thing was, out of the package the black sleeve did not fit, it was too big and fell right off the body .. So I fixed it by applying steady palm pressure to the open side of the sleeve for about 30-60 secs (sleeve on top of the towel to prevent damage). I did this about three times, and now the sleeve fits super snug. But at first I was like "oh hail no!"

Another note is that the sleeves I received say "Special Edition" not Limited Edition like the authentic, and they did not put Carlos Pang's signature on the back which I think was a good idea.

We will see hun .. I am trying to get a sample now, so we'll see. I saw some promo pics and it showed a V2 bottom, but when I contacted the unnamed manufacturer they said that the V2 won't be ready for another week. So I will keep you all posted ..

Got the brass Stingray I ordered when it was on sale about 3 weeks ago, very disappointed. What shipped is not what was displayed on the web. The page shows a normal Stingray with a typical Stingray switch and floating 510 center pin top cap, what shipped had a double screw adjustable top cap and a funny looking switch. The finish is different also, but I don't care about that. Oh well, guess you get what you pay for.

That isn't good, looks like they changed supplier, I didn't even know anyone made a stingray top cap like that, thought they was all floating pins, one of the reasons I love the stingrays, so I wouldn't be happy if that turned up.

I sent Yosen a skype message shortly after getting these to ask for an explanation as to which black version they are selling. Maybe its both, so I need clarification so I can explain in my review.

I like the way that the black glossy looks, but this is a pure porn sleeve. Its a total fingerprint magnet so in this regard the carbon fiber would be better. The silver Special Edition is also mirror polished and a finger print magnet. I thought it was going to be brushed I still like it though

All my sleeves lined up .. and I still need the gray and gold ... and a third Zero
