The clones at focalecig that I've mentioned are probably the closest you can get to the V4.2 although they seem to be V4.1 copies. Otherwise I'd think there's nothing but a few V4.3 around but mostly just the new V4.4 or official Fogger improved V4.1 as they call it.

Hey, does anyone know where I can buy a Fogger v4.2?

I've searched and I can't find anything, maybe you guys have better luck?

Note: Please don't try to convince me to get the latest version, I have my reasons. Thank you! <3

Oh do you know of some secret that we don't? :O

I've got every version made, and I too like the 4.2 best. After the 4.3 came out I searched daily for old stock 4.2s...until the new 4.1 came out. I'll never waste my time with that seach again.

So I've been using the fogger v4.3 for awhile now, love the amount of vapor, and generally close the afc some to help promote better wicking.

Recently I filled one if my kayfun's with the same juice as was in the fogger, and the taste difference was considerable...advantage kayfun.

I didn't notice the flavor difference going from kayfun to the fogger, like I said I guess I was digging the vapor production....but going BACK to the kayfun I'm getting MUCH more flavor out of my kayfun.

I'm wondering if that's because I got the v4.3? (Larger chimney chamber? )

Soooooo.....

Gotta give a shout-out to the man, the mystery, Mr. AMDTrucking. :toast:

Accidentally melted the insulator on my BIG Fogger, and saw AMD posted a quick look-see on the new Big Buddha by EHPro. Ordered it on a whim, got it in today, and O.M.F.G this thing is freakin' awesome.
Have it wired up in a dual coil, 28gauge, 7 wraps around a 16 gauge luer-lock needle. .4 ohms. Wicked it with rayon, just covering the juice channels. This thing is a freakin' cloud AND flavor machine. Even though it is meant for a 26650 mod, have it on top of my V3 Flip, and it actually doesn't look too silly. Been vaping it for about three hours now, and still haven't put a dent in the juice (Holy Grail's Blueberry Waffles).

I do have to add, the top cap on this thing SCREWS off, don't make my stupid mistake of trying to pry it off. (Saw the double o-rings, thought it was just press fit. DOH!) Thankfully only a minor chip in the glass for my screw-up.

So, once again, thanks go out to AMDTrucking for the amazing device referral.

If your closing the afc to help wick, your over wicking and killing flavor, less wick bud, I don't notice much difference between the versions of the v4 but, as lame as this is, put the kf. DT on the fogger, because it's got a small hole it condenses the vapor n amps flavor.

My coils are either wrapped on 2.4mm or 3.0mm precision screwdriver, I can't remember, so if its the 3mm it kind of requires a certain amount of wick to fill the coils. I guess I'll rebuild it tomorrow on 2mm or maybe even a 1.5mm and try smaller amounts of wicking.

Oh and I close the AFC not only to help wicking, but the draw wide open is a bit airy for me when "regular" vaping, not trying to blow clouds. Either way, thanks for the tip, I'll try again.

I actually prefer a bigger coil like your running, I'm using rayon and it favors the larger coil, but rayon or cotton try cutting the wick tails at 45 degrees from the edge of the coils getting thinner at the ends, should wick faster and still not leak, if it leaks build the same wick but leave a tiny bit more when you cut it at an angle.

The best builds I have are just a hair above leaking, that should give you the best flavor. Hope this helps bud.

The way I've been wicking it is either 1 of 2 ways.... straight kayfun style, leaving all wicking on the deck above the juice holes and nothing going into the holes at all. Trimming the wick even with the deck so when I screw on the chamber section, none of the wick gets caught in the threads. Very short wicks, they are truly laying in there, not being pushed, squished and mangled.

The second way, which I seem to prefer a little bit more is before I trim the rayon (or cotton, I've done this with both rayon & organic cotton/koh gen doh), I kind of separate some of the longer wicking and very lightly stuff some into the juice channels, I mean a tiny bit, not enough to block or restrict juice flow, but the wick stays saturated better as the wick is always touching juice regardless if your taking a pull on it or not. Then I still trim all the wicking (except the tiny bit going down the juice flow holes) flush with the deck or a little inside the deck. Just enough to "kiss" the metal chamber when its screwed on... wicking stays fluffy and short. This way (IMO) delivers a little bit better flavor, but still have to give the edge today to the KAYFUN. The juice was sweeter, more robust, just better flavor to me....again ymmv.

Either way, I'll do some rebuilding tomorrow if I have time, and try to snap a few pictures. Hell, may I am doing wrong? I'm no expert. I just like to vape, and when I pickup a different atty with the exact same juice, from the same bottle and taste 3, 4 points better to me.....I have to notice that. I'm a little angry with myself that I didn't miss the flavor being gone on the fogger, but I was really impressed with the draw, clouds and vapor production (edge Fogger, all the way) but flavor goes to KF3.1ES ..... ????

Phone Guy,
My experience has been just like yours! I have 3 different versions of Foggers and 3 or 4 different versions of Kayfuns. I haven't retired any of them and have some of my favorite juices loaded into a Fogger and a Kayfun. Sometime I like the more vapor of the Fogger and sometimes the slightly better flavor of the Kayfun! Wouldn't want to give up on either!

Yea I saw AMD's post on the Big Buddha too! It intrigued me so I ordered one. I should have it in a couple of days!
Getting excited about getting it after reading your post!
Shout out to You and AMD!!!!:toast:

Holy Donuts Foggerman!

Yes donuts take a second or two to heat up but when they do...wow!

Phil was right, time to vape the donuts. BIG Fogger has large enough chamber to accommodate them vertically. First build I've had that produces good taste at 35W, but was leaky. Added some more Rayon on deck and better taste around 25W.

I call it, The BIG Donut!

LOL

Can you take a pic of it wicked next time you change it? I'd be curious to see how you wick those donuts.

I don't know if this is the best way but...I take a little tuft of Rayon flatten it out slide it under and behind then fold over the front and work the back side wick up a little with a small screwdriver.

Have you put a kf tip in the Fogger.....? The kf tip concentrates the vapor n amps flavor, it's one of the techniques of many kf's use to make the big leagues in the first place, see what you think about that

I'll quit vaping if I have to use the original kayfun drip tip
I hate that drip tip with a passion. I drilled one of my clone's to a larger beveled hole, and that wasn't horrible. But that tiny little hole sucks.
