So I have to wrap my coils at 3 ohms, to get my end ohmage to 1.5 when both coils are tossed into the Fogger V4.

What wire gauge did you use and how many wraps? Maybe you do need more watts. For my VTR that only goes up to 15 watts I used 30 AWG Kanthal A1 microcoil and came out to 1.2 Ohm. Don't remember how many wraps something around 12-13 wraps.
    Vapes good.

PS: Keep in mind that this is really a dual atomizer with two coils with two separate air flows (unlike the non rebuildable dual coil heads). So theoretically if you do the same build as on a kayfun with twice the wattage, you get twice the vapor. But if you don't have the wattage, the coils just might not produce enough heat and you might have to reduce the wire size to produce higher "watts per wire surface area" (heat flux). Of course you might also just have a wicking problem.

Yeah read the description they are pre-order, I've heard of people complaining about poor quality, like dents n bad threads, but honestly I think it's just BC people are not familiar with stainless steel, my v4, the second version, it's absolutely perfect, I'll post the name of the guy I got it from in a sec, I am absolutely thrilled with the quality of my Fv4. And the shipping was super fast, great seller.

I wanted to say something that I've noticed with this atty, all the pics seem like they are using an awfully lot of cotton in their builds how've I've been playing around and I noticed that the best builds have longer wicks where the wicks form an "M" shape they go up from the coil and down to the grooves, I made a build where the wick was shorter, it ended the same distance down the channels but it went from the coil directly downhill to the channels, does that make sense? I was able to get a dry hit with the tighter direct wick and completely resolved the problem by adding length, and making it more like an "M".... Am I explaining that properly?

There seems to bee 2 versions of this behemoth.
One where the skirt above afc ring can be unscrewed and one where its press fitted.
Mine was press fitted either that or it was screwed like $¤!%.

Now im not the strongest guy out there, but when ever i close the cap on a soda or a jar, then most people find it hard to open.
But I was determent to pull that "skirt" off and only had a pair of pliers at hand.

Rubber bands do the trick for me, some times I wrap thin strips of duct tape around things and either use fingers, pliers or both.
I would think all v4 versions screw off just tight.

has anyone drilled out the airholes on theirs? i want to drill mine out to 1/8, as the draw is still too tight for me, but i'm worried about wicking and flooding.

I think the wicking doesn't rely too much on under pressure but more on capillary action of the wicks since they reach into the wick channels unlike the kayfun. So larger air holes should reduce the risk of flooding (less under pressure to suck the liquid in the chamber). I might be wrong though.

Someone wrote here on the forum that he had the same problem, couldn't remove the ring above the AFC. Then one day after screwing off the top of the tank it became loose. So it's probably just jammed, and not two version. Maybe try to cool it or get some liquid in there.

About build quality: Probably there are different batches out there, either they perfected their manufacturing process or it's just different guys working on parts every day or something. Or just bad luck. Like I said, I'm not really complaining. My stuff ends up getting scratched up anyways.

Sinnataggen used pliers and he couldn't take it off....basically ripped it to shreds and still couldn't take the ring off. That thing is most likely press fitted or they used some type thread lock glue. I have tried every thing on mine, even using pliers/duct tape, and the darn thing won't budge.

Once it was "ripped" off the answer should have been known

My v4 is useless right now. Threw it back in the vape box after the threads finally stripped out where the chimney meets the cap. Pretty disappointed but at least I didn't pay a lot for it. I may just try some Weldon 16 later and fix the chimney to the cap.

Anyone else having threading issues? If so be careful or you'll end up like me, foggerless!!!!

There are two versions of the fv4 the second has a better afc, by that I mean it stays in place a bit better and also has a copper pos pin, there isn't any real difference between the two however they both kick .... , I'm 99perent sure the ring above the afc is removable on all of them, if it doesn't just leave it on till you run a few tanks thru it, heating and cooling should make it easier to remove. I definitely wouldn't screw it up trying to get it off, there's no reason for that anyways.
